Nice numbers for Maggie today, a flat cycle usually means action in the next. Hopefully once Maggie gets all healthy again you will see numbers go below 50 so you can reduce. Most people use fortiflora when they are on ab to put good bacteria back in the body but I know some use it once in a while to stimulate appetite. Hope you are doing well!!!

Morning! Thanks Michelle for the above information on Fortiflora and flat numbers. Maggie hasn't done a BM for a couple days, but she's also back to more or less sucking the juice from her foods with some bulk. I know she has one bad tooth, so that could be the problem. She goes in tomorrow for another urine test, so we'll see if this ayntibiotic is clearing up the E-coli infection. Otherwise, her spirits seem good, and last night she was playful.

Thanks for stopping by; gosh we sure miss you and Scrabble. How is Scrabble doing lately. and Sabrina, too!

Re: 5/18 Ann & Maggie AMPS 119

How is she eating? Sounds as if she is just trying to get the liquids from the foods....wish she would use the LB soon.
Anyway to get more fluid into her? Does she drink from the water dish or is it only from the food? Maybe make it very liquidy and offer it to her again to see if she drinks....
A bad tooth can do lots of things...but her numbers are looking good....
Hope your vet visit goes well tomorrow....

Hi Pat,
Yes, thank goodness she is drinking fom the water bowl. I do add some warm water to the FF. The nice thing about the Sophisticat food is it seems to have more liquid than the FF. I may have to add some Miralax. My gut feeling is it's the tooth causing her some problems, as it's lower front left side. The Vet said as soon as she's healed from this latest infection, she can have the dental surgery.

Come on Maggie--Want to see you eat & go to LB!! Give momma bean a prezzie poo---
What a lovely Amps today!--Hope she has a good day
BTW, I always add water to their food & make it a little soupy, the water makes them poo, & they lap up the food.
Mine get Miralax once a day-1/8 tsp & they go almost every day! I would try it --Couldnt hurt!!

If her tooth is bothering her, try feeding some baby food. It doesn't require the chewing and most cats love the stuff. Just get the kind that is meat and broth -- no onion, garlic, veggies, etc.

Thanks Sienne. That's a good idea. Maggie does love the Gerber baby food as a treat after her ear prick.

HI Ann and Maggie, miss you guys too!!!! Scrabble and Sabrina are doing well!!! Scrabble is his usual happy self and I was so happy last night that both kitties used their auto feeder and didn't wake me up, that was a first! Good to see Maggie having good numbers, hope the vet visit goes well!!!

Re: 5/18 Ann & Maggie AMPS 119; +163

Hi Michelle,
That is great that the kitties use the feeder and let you sleep; you sure do deserve it! I was gone most of the day and tested at +7 and got a bg of 163. I think either I did a fur shot this morning or did less than .50. Unless I also use a magnifying glass with my glasses, those numbers are difficult to see.
