Today was our first day of home testing. I did so so but Phoenix was fantastic. I tried to get a reading at +4 and just now at +5 but I couldn't get enough blood and felt that I had put him through enough today. So now he is happily rolling around in cat nip and I am wishing I had some decent readings to look at. I will try again tomorrow but am so happy that I am finally home testing. Exactly two weeks after our diagnosis and I feel like I am taking control of his FD.

Great great job today!!! Two tips--Use real chickken, purebites freeze dried treats, or livalittles freeze dried
chicken, or whatever flavor, as the treat distracts them from what you are doing & you can test easily.
Keep testing along the edge of ear a bit in as the vein goes around it--You will learn where it is--
Also, use Neosporin plus pain relief on the ear right after test--It really takes the pain away(I tested it on myself ohmygod_smile ) and makes it easier for Phoenix!
You are doing the best thing by testing, It took me months to learn to test, but now I do Moonie 5 times a day with no fight from her--
You are doing a fantastic job--You are on your way!! Welcome to the sugar dance!
Now go Ni Ni & have a good sleepus! I-) I-) I-)

haha I'm going to bed, I swear. I did use the Neosporin plus pain relief and I also tested on myself first. Plus... when I was buying my testing supplies at Walmart I got a cute little polka dot cosmetic bag to keep everything in and it came with little plastic shampoo travel bottles. Perfect for filling with warm water and holding against his ear!!!
