Hi guys .. thought I would update a bit on mocha .. everything is still going good for her, I tested her a week or so back and got a "higher" then normal reading for her at 75, but tested soon after and she was back down to her 50's range she likes to hang out at. I think she was feeling off that day cause she had been doing some sneezing.
Today I tested her at her +4 and got 64 as a reading. Yesterday we started a new feeding schedule for mocha. Normally she would eat at 8, 10, 12 and 3 p.m during the day and 8, 10 and 11 at night. We eliminated the 2 a.m. feeding by giving her extra at 11 p.m. several weeks ago. Now she is eating at 8, 12 and 4 p.m. during the day. The 10 a.m. feeding is divided between the 8 and 12 p.m. feeding. I had to change up her schedule because at the end of next month we have to go out of town for four days and my mom is taking over feeding duty and I didn't want her to have to come down every two hours during the day. I thought it would be best to change it up now so she has time to adapt to it before we leave. Next week I will adjust the night time feedings up about an hour each. We'll continue testing mocha about once a week nailbite_smile
I'm hoping the feeding schedule doesn't upset mocha to much. She doesn't seem affected by it so far .. I don't want to stress mocha in any way. The idea of leaving my girls next month gives me some major stress. We haven't left them since mocha was diagnosed two years ago .. but we have to go, it is for peter's grandma's memorial and he hasn't seen any of his family in those two years. I am sure she will be fine and I know my mom will make sure they don't get into each others foods but you all know how it is ... still scary!
So other then that nothing new going on here .. mocha is still getting her "beauties" each morning and did the funniest thing last week. We were getting ready to go out and mocha ran into the bathroom and up onto the sink area, we told her, no beauties, she kept walking on the counter and bumping her head against the medicine cabinet. We kept telling her, no beauties right now .. well, all of a sudden she sat down on the counter, looked at us through the mirror in front of her face and then stuck her tongue out and let it hang there .. we just cracked up laughing .. of course, she got her beauties!!!
