5/17 Darcy AMPS 247 we hit a few blues

I had to syringe feed him a couple of tubes so far because he’s not taking in enough calories today so far. I don’t want to let it go too long because it’s too hard to play catch up.

He is fairly happy but seems a little tired.

I guess this is going to be a long haul.

Hope his appy picks up this evening :bighug:. Eat your fuds Mr. Fussy Pants.
Thanks, Christie. I think it is so interesting that your cat is named Maverick. My Maverick came to us as a really wild foster cat from a horse barn that was overrun with kittens. He was one of the kittens (there were others we fostered) but he was a few weeks older and hadn't had that much human interaction. When he first came, he was WILD. Scary wild. The first night my husband and I were with him and we had this little made up conversation where I said, "you are dangerous," and he (the kitten) replied... "That's right... I AM dangerous." Hence, he was immediately named Maverick. And he earned his name. He took a long time to tame down and I finally got him tame but, at first, he was only tame with me. My husband used to have to wear gauntlets to handle him. We thought he'd be okay with other people and we had to go away for a weekend so we left him with the lady who had brought him to us to "foster." That weekend she decided he "was not suitable for adoption." He "almost" bit her. So while we were away, she took him back to the horse barn! We were livid when we got back home. We made them go back to the horse barn and catch him again to bring him back to us.... needless to say... he had really bonded with me... and eventually became friendly with everyone in our family... although he could still give the pet sitter or the vet a run for his money (he liked the female vets and hate the male vets, interestingly enough.) He ended up being such a love. But anyway, I love your Mav's name!! I was the RIO, too!
