This is the 1st time using this type on meter. I'm trying to spot check since the Freestyle Libre is reading 56 :/
I've tried twice and am getting an Error 4 message each time :/

I am in India and have not used a ReliOn meter but a google search says Er - 4 means low battery. Is there a user manual that came with the meter? That would have a section listing out error codes and what they mean.

oh yes! I only feed Carlton 2x's per day so he hasn't two hours prior to testing
I tried one Walmart with no luck and will try another one in the area.
You want to feed small meals through the day and night. Members here use timed autofeeders for when they are not at home and at nights.

You can also buy syringes online:
https://www.adwdiabetes.com/search....ch_return=all&sort_by_field=Price+Low+to+High

You want U-100 syringes of 30 unit/0.3 ml capacity with half unit markings.

yes, the manual says..blood is to thick or insufficient amount.
I will try one more store otherwise will revert to online!
At the beginning when Carlton wasn't a great eater I was giving small amounts since he wasn't eating much. He is a great eater now and eats his entire meal at one sitting. You can autofeed wet food? What is the benefit? He's gained a great deal of weight back and continues to gain.

Then you need a larger blood drop. Warming/Massaging the ear before poking helps with blood flow. Sometimes you have to "milk" the ear after you poke to increase the size of the blood drop.

Feeding smaller meals is easier on the pancreas and also keeps kitties happy and satisfied to be fed more than just twice a day. Also feeding small meals when on insulin helps prevent sharp drops in blood sugar.

Did he get any food after the injection? Feed him a little every hour or two keep him surfing good/safe numbers and to prevent any drops.
Looks like he decided he doesn't want a dose increase!

Staying flat green. Has he had anything to eat? That big drop at +2 was the sign of an active cycle. Works like a charm for many cars. Cats too, lol.

@tiffmaxee the +2 mark, Carlton had eaten 2hrs prior to that mark
@Bandit's Mom he usually finishes his meal after the injection. He gets his food, then the injection. He tends to finish his meal within 30-45mins after the injection

When you see the 50’s that early, make sure you feed some lc or mc and get a test in 30-60 minutes. When learning I’d suggest a test in 30.

@tiffmaxee the 50's tend to be when I'm sleeping :/ it's so hard to understand why it drops after the 2nd shot in the evening, but not the 1st dose in the am. I was able to spot check and it was higher with the meter. A few people mentioned that when using the Libre the numbers tend to read lower than the hand help meter.
