Good evening,
another pink and red day after a pink and yellow night. I notice Binies curves become a bit more undramatic and flat. Even though it would be nice to see some blue again, I like that it is less steep. Thank god injecting insulin worked well today.
We went to the vet today. She took her time to examine the wound from the surgery because I noticed that Binie was licking from time to time. What you see without close examination looked all good but when she looked under Binies front leg you could see, that there are still holes from the stiches and a little bit of clear fluid is coming out of it. It seems to be not dramatic but I would rather not worry about that.
Because Binie was very stressed after the examination she just put on a new libre and we decided to wait with the bloodwork until I come the next time for the libre. Still we are not 100 % sure if she had a pancreatitis or maybe just gastritis or something totally different. As Binie is not easy to handle at the vet we always have to decide well which diagnostics we make and where we leave questions open. I hope we made the right decision today. We decided that I will continue to give the omeprazol a few more days and see how her appetite develops. Her appetite is still not back to normal but I notice that she is more active and insists on going outside. At the weekend I will fence my terrace so she can enjoy time outside but in a safe way and without me monitoring her. I really feel she needs more protection as her legs are not that stable at the moment. I wouldn't want her do all the crazy things she used to do (climbing the neighbors roof, fighting with other cats etc.).
Hope you all have a relaxed start in the weekend!
