It's workin'! Are able to grab random spot checks during the morning and evening, so you can see what Wonton is doing during the cycles? BTW, welcome to LantusLand, and love that name - very cute!!!
 
Yay!! Thanks for letting me know. I work during the day so unable to do readings then except for weekends. Will try to get more during the evenings. I hate doing readings...I think they hurt Wonton, she jumps every time.
Thank you for the welcome! Wonton got her name from her previous owners. Seems they were eating Chinese food the day they adopted her...I agree, very cute! :-D
 
It is hard doing the ear pokes, but you'll get used to it. We've been at it for almost a year and a half, and I honestly still apologize to Trix just about every time. I actually even got my own ear pierced yet again in her honor...I figured if she puts up with all these pokies, I could make this symbolic gesture. But, I think they do understand that we're helping them!

If you're able to get a quick test right before you head to work, that could give you some good info about where she's heading for that cycle. I know it can be tricky to fit it in, timewise, though, but every little bit of data helps keep Wonton safe. Definitely grab some evening tests. when you can...it's good info to have.

Actually, Wonton looks alot like Trixie, she's gray but has less markings. Trixie is a cutie!! flip_cat
 
That's so cool piercing your ear in her honor. Yeay, I was thinking how much they get poked for BG's and then they need another poke for their insulin. Well, the alternative is not an option.
Thanks Amy&Trixie, I will do as many BG's as I can fit in for her benefit. Hopefully she will get used to it and come to expect them, with a few treats after.

Thanks! Trixie looks like gray tabby in her avatar, but she's actually a dilute tortie with stripes.

Of course you know we do need a picture or two of Wonton!!

Trix deserves the honorary piercing; she's a good kitty! Treats DO make things much easier!

Hi there!!! So happy to see Wonton in LL and it looks like you were able to get her spreadsheet up too! Great job!

I think I have 1 or 2 fosters coming in the next week or so and they are both on Lantus so I will be here more often!

The pokes are never easy, just remember you really are doing a wonderful thing for her
