Yesterday http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=71072 was dental day. She recovered quite quickly from the anesthesia but I'm glad to go back to the full dose of juice. Neko was showing the signs of not enough insulin last night. She did have a good appetite and ate almost 3/4 can of Wellness turkey, between when she got home and bedtime last night.

Today we are back on regular food, autofeeder was greeted as one would a long lost BFF, and she is now snoozing on the sofa. There was a yard patrol - actually before breakfast which is unusual. Normally once I'm up I have her undivided attention until food is served.

Once this dose is back up and running (6 cycles), I'll be increasing if I don't see better action than I've seen so far from it.

Here is a pic of Neko about 3 hours after she came home from the dental. I just couldn't keep her from stairs, jumping up on things.

Awww...she is beautiful and seems to be showing no side affects of the anesthesia. I think she was so happy to be back home. Her numbers should be getting back on track after less insulin for her dental/ Have a nice afternoon.

+5.5 125 Good to see the lower blues back with her shed not even full yet.

@Ann - yes her numbers are looking much better today! We were enjoying the sunshine in the solarium for our last pokie. It's great light for seeing blood on the black ears.

Glad Neko is giving you better numbers:) She is one pretty kitty...I just wanna pick her up and squeeeeeeze her :-D

Hmm, young lady, where did you go while I was out shopping for cat food? I thought 5.5 was your typical nadir but I suspect you might have been visiting something slightly greener after I left the house. Too bad I wasn't here to prove it. She is back sleeping on my blue laptop bag - I guess that's her version of sleeping the blues.

@Roni - I must admit a certain affection for tuxedo cats. Civie Theo is one too, but less white and shorter hair, a lot like Moonie.

@Tamara - anytime you are on the west coast, feel free to visit and squeeze away. She loves being held.

Hi again Wendy,

I love that pic. Neko is so beautiful! I love her fur and the patch of brown is so unusual! She's coming down nicely after the dental and with so little side effects! Did she only need a cleaning or did it turn into dental work as well?

@Melanie - Neko is mostly black and white, but some of her black fur is a bit more brown in the light. I think it's more of her summer coat showing through. Her dental just involved 10 minutes of scaling and some polishing for a bit of tartar on one side, as well as the exam.

The vet office called today asking about Neko. They were surprised that she had recovered so quickly and eaten so much. Appetite she has in spades!

Very respectable for Neko. After a good day of low blues I was expecting a mother of bounces. I'm sure I'll see that later on tonight. :roll:

@Ann - when I got Neko, i was specifically looking for a lap cat, as the previous one had not been. The looks are just a bonus!

Maybe after the dental, Neko can do better than a serious bounce. Give your mumbean a surprise Neko, go for the blue!
The pic of Neko is very pretty! I love black & white cats too ! Got only a black & white here & one tuxedo. Eighht of my cats are turtleshell because people in Asean dont like torties, think they are ugly & look dirty. :lol:
 
Yeah, I get to go to bed earlier. But not as bad a bounce as previously so far. The morning will tell.

@Helen, it would be nice if the dental eased the bounces a bit. I was in China last fall and saw mostly white or orange kitties. I was wondering why so few colours and you've explained it. Torties are so pretty, not dirty.
