Me too! We went down about 9 pm last night, could not get this stuff back online and was just too tired to deal with the cable company. So... guess I had better rattle their cages now. I am so not looking forward to this.

YAY for yesterday!! Another green and blue day - I am so happy for Mannie. These numbers are just so nice to see. He seems to have bounced this morning, but the +2 is headed down, so maybe.... another great day in store Mannie? :cool: :-D :-D

All is well in MannieLand this morning - I wish I could say the same for his bean.... STOOPID INTERNET!!! :-x :-x we seem to be fixed now.... :razz: Amazing how dependent we all are on it. :roll: :roll: Mannie is great this morning. He was zonked on top of his nanner pile this morning - oblivious to the fact that he should be hungry. Major kitty snoozes in progress. There was this mad dash into the kitchen once he heard the rustle of fuds, and testing stuff.... :lol: :lol: Breffis consumed heartily, clean plate club status intact. No fuds dance or civvie whacking this morning- Mannie? And now? after a brief tour of the outdoor domain he is back to the nanners. They are being hugged, kitty dreams in progress.... :cool:

My friends!!! After much debate on when is that full moon, and discovering that is it in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow, we decided to celebrate tonight! Zoe - you are the bestest, as is your bean - thanks for letting us party in Florida. Sun, warm, flowers!! ok.... here is da menu. Bringing anything you want to add....

Hi Devon - me too - glad this thing is back up and running... had alot I needed to do today. I, good or bad, do all I have to do via the 'net... and yes -yesterday was great, and wow on that +4 today. he's back to these bounces that clear quickly. YAY!

Hey Mannie, oh my gosh, I almost missed out on the party because my Bean took me to the Vetty. That menu sounds so lovely; I don't know what else to add or bring along, but I'll think of something. Wow, Michelle, you have had an exciting afternoon. I am amazed, too, looking at Mannie's numbers and how well you monitor him with food and carbs when he gets low. And all this with babysitting DGS, too. I used to be better at multitasking but not any more!

Hey Mannie, thanks for picking me up in the KTSS and for the spa treatment for the party. I am looking pretty good, or I should say, I feel pretty! Yes, we need to visit Gracie's Teddi, too, for some special tlc.

HI Ann, and Maggie - thx! I think I do OK when it's just Mannie and I: got the fuds down OK, but wow when DGS is here too... that one is a little tough. I have taken the approach now of getting a test in when the baby sleeps, anytime I am not busy with him. The testing gets a little sporadic, but at least I can get a feel for how the day is going... I think I may have blown tonight, or maybe he was just headed on up anyways. guess we shall see.

Just stopped by to take a look at your condo and noticed the "managing the curve with food" tag on the bottom of your signature. What exactly does that mean? Does that mean you purposely keep him low and then bring him back up with food. If you have time to explain, I would love to understand more.

H Linda - thanks for the visit. :-D on the managing the curve with food. wow - I hope I can explain this so it makes sense... basically it means that I try to control his numbers at the start of a cycle by using food at the front end of a cycle to control upcoming numbers. He will be fed his main meal at PS time, then a smaller portion at +1, +2, +3. ( I do not feed later on during the day - maybe small snack around +6, but nothing else) basically the food given at this time (at the front end of a cycle: called front loading) will "offset" the effects of the insulin, and keep his curve more even. Mannie is a well known diver. He can start out at, say for example 300 at ps and then dive to 100 by +2. all that diving then made him bounce out into the stratosphere. By feeding at +1, +2, +3 I am, hopefully, slowing the effects of the insulin, and preventing these drastic drops and subsequent bounces. This approach has leveled him out quite alot - the effects were not immediate, but over several months I did find that his diving lessened and his bounces weren't as severe. I hope this helps - if I wasn't clear, or there are more questions - let me know! I will also post this in your condo, in case you don;t make it back here.

Hi guys. I just popped in to let you folks know how we were doing. I'm glad things are going okay with your boy. Loved the King Kamanniemannie on his surfboard.

I hope all the kitties really enjoy the Full Moon party tonight. Tori used to love those parties and all the wonderful food Mannie and the rest of kitchen crew prepared. Party on kitties!!
