5/16 LOOSE LIPS: another day in the pool.....

Good Morning LL!! (Elsa, KB, PLEASE! Lets - DGS fuel is so needed!), and Happy Fursday to all!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, recently graduated from barista school! SWEET, double SWEET! So.... on my third official day on the job, I Elsa, kitteh barista proudly offer Mannie's patented 10 hour energy and my very own, Double fudge raspberry mocha, smothered in chocolate whip and raspberry drizzle. And YES, underneath all that is a dollop of chocolate fudge and raspberry ice cream. Dang good huh! As Mannie would always say: PRIMO!, and only the best for my customers. I am sorry I missed so many of you yesterday. Once I had finished with the condo (omg: I still so start to write "Mannie's condo", every time!) I could barely keep my eyes open...and dozed off.... and the rest was NI NI! Shessshhh! I may have to start having Elsa whip up a batch of 10 hour energy for mid-day too! :roll:

Nicholas and I spent yesterday at the pool, a normal Wednesday activity for us. The energizer FISH was just that. ENERGIZED. :lol: :lol: We did EVERYTHING there, and then some. He still loves the underwater and wants to be tossed in as often as he can. What a hoot. Yesterday we closed out the morning session, after being there over 2.5 hours. They take a break in the play area and smaller big pool for about 30 minutes so the guards can get a breather, about 11:30 or so. He was so funny, when they made their announcement, he asks one of the guards with the saddest most pathetic voice: "pool CLOSED?!?!?!?" :lol: :lol: They told him yes, just for short while. "Ohhhhhhhhhhhh.............. ok. I will be back". :lol: :lol: :lol: I suspect that it they didn't close for a few for these breaks that we'd still be there.... We also walked the trail next to the pool too. He has developed a fondness for it, so why not. Then he gets some outdoor time too. SWEET! Our kitty search continues... I am still looking online until I can get back to the shelter. Maybe I will just take Nicholas with me, We could stop in before I take him to meet up with is dad. Hmmmmm..... Might be worth the effort. He is good around kitties, it might be quite the adventure for him. I bet he too would want to take them all home. ;-)

Have a great day everyone! I am on DGS duty the rest of the week, Today is travel and hopefully see a river or river park day. I am so looking forward to that. We both LOVE the rivers!! I will try and get to condos when I can.

Great video of the swim! Nicholas is really amazing. What fun he is having!

Have a great day on the water trails and maybe a stop at the shelter. Nicholas will be a real help :smile: It will be interesting to see his reactions to all the kitties.

Elsa, thank you for my 10 Hour Energy Coffee and the Double Fudge Mocha drink and glad you remembered the ice dream. Auntie AnnHave a great time with Nicholas swimming and the adventure. That video of Nicholas really shows how much he loves the water. I hope you have a good day wherever you end up. I think it would be interesting to see how the kitties at the shelter react to Nicholas. I'm sure he'd love to go.

Hi Michelle. Great photos of DGS, aka "The Fish". Great underwater portion of the video? Do you have a water proof camera case? I tell my Dd that my grandchildren are my reward for putting up with her shenanigans :lol:.

Happy Days everyone! Nicholas and I had a great day out on the trials today. We went to Cougar Mountain, and visited a falls that is near the base of the trail system there. It was a new route for us, and proved to be a very good one for Nicholas. He got to see some very pretty falls, and also play in the creek that runs adjacent to the falls. Lots of river wading and rock throwing and stick tossing and trail climbing. We had lunch at the falls. He was so funny: had to have his lunch by the falls. perched on this big log under a great tree canopy. It was almost picture perfect. Maybe that is why he picked it. What a great time. We took his mom out to lunch after that, to Red Robin, where he proceeded to pig-out on his favorite food: french fries. YUM! I will post the Picassa photo and video links in tomorrow's Condo.

HI Ella - THX on the video - and yes, he does have such fun with it all. Makes for great times when we go. THX on today - we had a great time at the Falls - he rally enjoyed this one, and the creek. We didn't make the shelter, mainly becasue he took a long nap, and per the norm these days I ran out of time.... :roll: Maybe tomorrow we can. I hope so, as I think he might like it.

HI Ann - THX on the photos and the Vid. DGS does love the berries - all of them, so it is what he has alot of the time. We didn't make the shelter, just not enough time today. I like online too - at least I can go then and have a general idea of their story, and see what they look like.

Hi John - THX for the visit! THX on the pics and vid. I have an underwater camera. It's not the top of the line, just a point and shoot, but it does the trick. Mikes it kinda fun to be able to see what he does under the water. I like this! TRUE!

Hi Barb - LOL on the potty training... me neither! The pool is a public city pool, that was recently renovate, re-opened about a year ago. It is gorgeous and they have just about everything for water fun, in an indoor pool environment. even water tube slides! . Heck on hot days they can open all the glass doors to the pools areas (they are on sliders), so it is almost like being outdoors. A beautiful faculty, opened to the public, compete with water stuff, weight/conditioning room, fitness classes, racquetball, etc - very very nice! and yes.... relaxation is the ticket tonight! The Energizer Nicholas wears me out! :lol:

Another beautiful PNW day. I hope you got out to some great rivers with Nicholas. I just had to check out PAWS website after seeing that pic with Esme. Sounds like most of the cats they want homes with older kids, so taking Nicholas would be a good test. But how to choose? Have a great night Michelle!

Hi Wendy - It was a nice day here - we got lucky! and needed up wit a warm sunny afternoon. YAY! We did get out, not as much a river as a local waterfall and creek. It actually turned out to be good choice - a new one, and he enjoyed it. I still prefer the mountain rivers, as does he, but this was good today. Yes on PAWS and the cats, and the older kids. I read that too. So I think it would be good to get him there see what kind of reaction we get. I hope we can tomorrow. and I know.... how to choose?
