All ok on our end this morning.

Only concern is that his BM this morning was very tiny as if it were from a small cat. Marla is a small kitty and I'd like to say I hope it is hers, but she has chronic diarrhea, and has had that since I got her 9 years ago. They are on Ultimate Flora Probiotics (30 billion strains). I give a 1/2 capsule to each kitty at PM meal. That is a human formula (I simply cannot afford Purina's Forti-Flora). Does anyone here think maybe that 1/2 capsule is too much for him possibly causing constipation, or have had this happen to them? I googled it and it seems some people have thought that probiotics are causing constipation, but the answers say nay.... any advise?

I am happy about today's numbers! If anyone could chime in on my question in today's first post, I would appreciate it.

Stop by the grocery store and pick up some canned pumpkin (Not pumpkin pie filling) or some baby food squash (no spices or sugar!)

Mix some into his food..if he's constipated, it should add fiber and help "move things along"

I think about a tablespoon a day is the starting dose (can be split into 3 feedings of 1 teaspoon too)

The other really good thing for constipation is Miralax (Glycolax at WalMart) but the pumpkin is a whole lot cheaper and it's where I'd start

Hi Brian:

Miralax works well for Cinco. Just 1/8 of a teaspoon in his meals does the trick. If it seems like he's really stopped up, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of canola oil in his food is also a big help, but I would try the baby food squash or the Miralax first.

Sending good poo vines!
