morning.
I didn't get up so early today so Shadow's ambg is food influenced but still better than yesterday
I also didn't take any pain killers in the night. So I'm "sober".
Shadow was feeling sympathetic I guess since I woke up with her laying next to me.


About to shower and I'm driving to Santa Fe too.
My DH has been out this morning with the vehicle..... the little chipmunk was back in it's nest this morning and my husband took his air compressor to make
sure to get all the nest out of there. He has chewed on some wires so we are taking the cruiser to the toyota dealership so they can get the parts/look it
over.
My DH was so sure he had scared it off last night but I'm betting the little critter was just hiding in a nook. I've watched the chipmunks behaviour with
the outdoor cat when he has them up a tree.... they will cling to a spot for hours.... They don't panic and run... they freeze.

My splints come out at 10:30am (MST) so if you hear a scream, you'll know it's me..... :lol:
I am so hoping it isn't too painful as I really want these things out. When I wake up in the am, it feels like someone has rearranged my nose..... :shock: :lol:

And hopefully we won't need to drive both vehicles back as I doubt I will be able to do the drive home.

Hi guys .. glad to see shadow is having a better start this morning .. I sure do hope your splint removal goes easy and with little pain .. I won't be around the rest of the week so have a great weekend!

Nice AMPS for Shadow's start of the day. Sending good vines today for the splints removal and hopeit isn't too painful.

Sounds like you have quite the day planned. Good luck with the splints. We'll be thinking of you and sending "good-splint-extraction" vines. I hope that the chipmunk can find a better place for her nest.

Shadow is doing fine and I'm glad she's still off the juice.

seriously, the splints must be like toggle bolts that expand after they get them in the nose because it sure was a big long thing they pulled out.
My dh watched.
And while it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it wasn't fun either.
no blowing my nose for 2 more weeks and of course it's very raw in there and my nervous system is overwhelmed today with all the activity.


We took our cruiser to the toyota dealership and that little chipmunk cost us almost $600.
My dh will be the one out in the yard with his bb gun hunting it down......

Wow, Rhiannon, I'm REALLY behind! Glad you got the splints out. Never had splints, but had my nose packed after my turbinate reduction and tonsillectomy and it sure wasn't fun...no fun having the packing extracted, either! Glad you're home and will be 100% soon.

That stinking little chipmunk! $600?! Yeah, Doug would hunt him down, too...maybe his whole family! ;-) They are pretty neat to watch when they freeze, patient little boogers.

I know you like the green, but Shadow is looking good! Hershey is all over the board lately, as if I don't have enough excitement right now. :YMSIGH:

I'm glad everything went as well as it did today, except for the $600 part. I've never had to deal with any nose stuff and don't ever want to. Don't like the doctor.

So, tomorrow you'll be having chipmunk chili?

OMG on the little chipmunk and car damage :evil: . Too bad chipmunk damage isn't covered by insurance.

cruiser is in garage now... surrounded by mouse traps in case the mice get any ideas.... :lol: :-x

My husband liked the chipmunk chili idea.
I just hope the chipmunk isn't still under the hood somewhere. He doesn't think it would have stayed with him blowing it out with an air compressor
and then mechanics working on it today and taking parts out ( ate wires under the manifold too) but
I think chipmunks are very patient and they don't run when they are scared.... they freeze.... for hours.... I've seen them do it.
So I really hope it's gone.
I guarantee he'll go look in the morning to see if there is any nesting signs.... :razz:


funny how much my upper teeth are killing me now.... guess the splints put pressure on them.
Looking forward to it all being healed.
it was a septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery by official name.


i should go test Shadow and see where she is at....
she's only had the am test today.....

Congrats on the splintless nose...sorry 'bout the pain (especially on the upper teeth). Bad chipmunk. Love the mice traps. YAY Shadow! (cliff's notes version of a real post...must shower and sleep tonight.) :lol: :-D Sending no pain vines!
 
I'm there! Tillie wants to come too. She caught a mouse one time so she thinks pretty highly of her hunting skills. :roll: ~Z
 
Glad to hear that your splints came out today! Hide the tissues so you don't feel like you need to blow your nose.

Oh wow that chipmunk did a lot of damage!

And yay Shadow! That's a good bg :D
