I called the vet yesterday to book a dental, and they had a last minute cancellation so a spot was open today. She is there now and I've been told to call around 3PM to see if she is ready to come home. I left one of her blankies and a can of Wellness LC in case they try to feed her.
Neko was irritated, to say the least, about the no snack when we left for rowing and the no breakfast rule! I did give her a little extra LC before midnight last night in the hopes that it would tide her over a bit. The carpet only got shredded once. She kept on wanting to go out for yard patrol but did use the LB this morning. No playing or purring, all focus was on food or lack thereof.
OT bird and rowing report: the owls are back this spring. Both DH and I were woken up before the alarm by the sound of hooting. It's finally warm enough to have the windows open at night so that may have been part of it. It was a glorious day on the water today. Water was as flat as a mirror, which is pretty good considering it's ocean. Lots of geese and seagulls flocking about, and I sited an eagle and blue heron. It's now light enough to need sunglasses in the morning and warm enough that the number of layers is diminishing.
It's a good day to get the vacuuming and power washing done. Neko hates both of those sounds.
