WOW, and what a day yesterday.... Mannie started out in bounce mode, with a high pink. I really expected him to stay pink and yellow, and was pleasantly surprised to find him at a 127 by +6.  We made green shortly after, and stayed these through pmps. I intentionally fed him a 11% at shoot time, hoping to bump him up some, before onset. SWEET:  it gave him a nice boost, so that my the time +4, nadir, etc arrived he was surfing the upper greens, and I didn't have to find the HC fuds. Mannie - good job! cat_pet_icon

My DD, DSIL, and DGS were over yesterday, through the afternoon, early evening. Mannie had his best BG numbers then - so out the window goes my theory that the baby's noises upsets him. He now handles them as any other noise in the house, ignores most of them. The best part?: DGS is on the floor on his blanket playing with his toys. Mannie is 3 feet away, guarding the nanners.   YAY! Mannie, I knew you could do it! Mannie was a happy furry purry mellow laid back kitty yesterday. We had sun most of the day, so outside he was for most of it, until the lawnmower was in full swing.  We have normalcy this morning: great test feed shoot, clean plate club, nanner sleeping. All is well in MannieLand.

Have a great day everyone! It is pouring rain here today. I hope to get out for a walk - looks like it will be a wet one...

My friends!! Kitty Bucket Brigade today!! Rusty needs us. Last report was that he was in his canoe, paddling the cellar. Bring your boots and your buckets! after that - SUN, please!! Anybody got any? We needs to work on party plans too! Flower Full Moon coming on Tuesday. See you guys soon! ~~ Mannie

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213

Michelle - I need a Mannie picture alert. Mannie also made my morning with that gorgeous face surrounded by his nanners. Thank you so much for posting it.

Glad he is all settled with DGS around now. What a sweetie.

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213

Morning Karrie! Mannie and his nanners... I should have taken a bigger area - he really was watching DGS, and had placed himself between the baby and those nanners. I am clueless as to why I didn't take that photo. It was so nice though to see him be that close, just watching...

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213

Good Morning, guys,
Great report on Mannie and Nicholas getting along so well yesterday. Looks like they are on the way to a wonderful relationship, as long as each respects the other's toys!! Really nice numbers yesterday.
What fun, a walk in the rain. I may join you (if I want to get any exercise today, that is).
Ella
Hey Mannie, Thanks for heading over to go canoeing with me in my cellar. As long as we avoid the mud, we'll be fine. We've got to plan the menu and venue for the Full Flower Moon party. It should be somewhere where there are flowers and a clear, balmy sky, don't you think? See you soon,
Rusty

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213

Morning Michelle, and I love that picture of Mannie guarding his nanners and keeping an eye on DGS. It sounds like you had a nice double birthday celebration yesterday and a busy one. Glad to hear Mannie's bg's are not affected by DGS. Wow, did you stay up most of the night. I'd say you deserve one of those White Mocha espresso drinks!

Hey Mannie, I am all ready for the bucket brigade at Rusty's? I have a pair of boots and am looking for a bucket. some sun afterwards would be great. It's cool and cloudy here, so I bet there is sun in AZ. See ya soon, Maggie

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213

Hi Michelle...sounds like you had a great day with your family. Glad to hear Mannie and the little bean have a truce as long as little bean stays away from nanners.
I have a feeling Mannie is going to be back in blue/green before long today! Go Mannie!!

Sorry about the rain but I hope you are able to get your walk in today. Great Mannie pic!!!

Mannie..Tobey and me are ready to go....Tobey is extra strong and he told Aunt Ellabean he'd be there today!! We're bringing snacks and lots of AZ SUN!

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213

Hi Michelle!

I love that pic of Mannie guarding his nanners! So cute! Glad to see that he is accepting the DGS. I guess he figured out he didn't have a choice in the matter. :-D But his toys, they're off limits!

Canoe paddling, sounds like fun. Always ready to help a one of my kitty friends out. I know that menu your planning Mannie will sure be a feast!

Have a nice Sunday.

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213, +5.5 81, +6.5 82

81 @ +5.5, 82 @ +6.5 WOW - he did it, again.  I had gone out for a walk, came home to find him @ 81. NICE! I did feed the +5.5, with an 11%, just to slow things up a bit. it seems to have been ok. He posted an 82 @ +6.5. This one I did not feed.

Hi Ella - I think you are right on Mannie and Nicholas. In time they will get along just fine. Mannie was maybe one when we adopted him from the shelter. My youngest was about 9 at the time. Mannie just loved that kid, and would spend all his time with him. I expect it will be the same with my DGS. I truly hope so. and yes on the walk in the rain. shesshhhh that was WET! The rains will not be letting up here anytime soon, so walk in the rain it is.... :-D

HI Ann, and Maggie - Yep, it was a great day - loved it. nice and relaxing, though very busy, a nice kind of busy. Mannie went green twice, and although the night was late, it was great to see him do it again. yep - it was a little late - 11PM, but up again at 4:30 AM... so: white mocha it was.

Hi Marje - and yes: a truce!! it was so great to see him stay there.... watching.... loved it! and yes - he went green again this AM, sometime before I cam back from my walk, i really expected to see more yellow. silly me - the clue was there: down at +2. I just didn't think it was a significant enough of a drop to think he would be green in a couple of hours, SILLY BEAN!

Hi Ann - YAY!!! back to greens. Tess is too? I haven't had much of a chance to visit anyone yet, elected to go walking and to the shore first. It is nice to have them on track. Good for Tess! and yes - great shore visit, though it was very wet, i was dripping, but oh well. one expects to get wet when one lives here. PNW = Rain gear owner!

Hi Christie - Thanks! day has been good, I hope you have found your house - sounds like Willie likes it.

Hi Roni - YAY on the DGS thing. I am happy - it's coming along well, and when Mannie doesn't want to deal he has a quiet place to go. YAY!!!!

Hi Jan - thanks on the photo - it is so Mannie. and yes - I think it is dawning on him that DGS is here to stay, he had better figure it out.

Sara - awesome - I am so happy that you can help with the canoeing... it will be a blast. best part is that it is IN Rusty's house, and fuds is right there, and well, no rains on us or nuthin'. see you! I will come and picks you up. ~~ Mannie

MOONIE!!!! YAY!!!!!!!! I am so excited that you will come and sing at the full moon party. We will sing for Copper and all the GA's - it is so important that we do. I like joy to the world - that is such a great idea., You are the best!! I AM SO HAPPY - MOONIE IS COMING!!! ~~ Mannie

Willie!!!! DUDE!!!!! Do you have your house yet? patio, cart door, big back yard??????? When is da house warming.... we HAVE to cook and party for that . ooooo - I am soooooo excited! hey see you later for canoeing and bailing. Bring photos of your potential new home so we can all check it out. ~~ Mannie

Tess - what is up with your weather? it can't decide, or what. very confusing... We had fun yesterday - we'd run with the rope, watch you fly through the sky... AWESOME! Flowers in the food? :o  :o   oooooo that i so weird. See you, we needs to figure this out. and uhhhh.... when should we party? full moon is a 4 whatever in the morning on Tuesday... I dunno - should be party on Monday night then? what a dilemma!! ~~ Mannie

Gracie - that is so great! We are going to spend sometime canoeing in the cellar too!  :-D then we bail. Might was well have some fun while we are at it. Can we come to your place afterwards? You got sun???? WE NEED SUN! oooo - thanks for the snacks. already I am starving! ~~ Mannie

Hey Maggie - awesome - bucket brigade it is, and w can go canoeing ion the cellar for a bit too. SWEET! Me too on the sun... maybe we can go to Gracie's afterwards.... :-D

Rusty!! SO true on the Flower Full Moon aprty - we need a sunny place with flowers and stuff and balmy skies. OK - who has that? oh - minor problem - full moon is at 4AM on Tuesday, so.... do we celebrate on monday or Tuesday? Such decisions!!! See you soon - we are coming to help you bail. How's your canoe holding up? I will bring the little canoe my bean got me for my river excursions... SWEET! ~~ Mannie

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213, +5.5 81, +6.5 82

What a beautiful photograph of your Boy.. goodness he is handsome and so protective of his property
It's wonderful to hear the progress that he and your DGS are making and only 3 feet apart! WOW.. I may have missed this in another post but does your DGS ever try to approach Mannie to touch him or anything? Just curious what Mannie does if that is tried.

Sorry to hear about the heavy rains right now.. It's icky and rainy here as well..
I hope the sun comes out for you and you get to take your walk today :-D

Michelle, thank you for stopping in last night to give support and good wishes for me and Tommy.. I am so glad that I found all of you..It truly has been a blessing and one that has kept me sane (Well, sort of! @-) ).
I need my Mannie nanner fix in the morning   So don't go away!
Big Hugs :YMHUG:

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213, +5.5 81, +6.5 82, +8 82

82 @ +8. and isn't this just sumthin'!

Hi Squirrel - thanks on the photo - it came out fairly well, does the boy justice. and   on the protection of his property, aka the nanners. so so true!! My DGS isn't mobile enough yet to be able to get into them. He's just over 4 months, and just now learning how to play with toys. it is funny though: Mannie watches - I can see the wheels turning... no no not the nanners... all this stuff: nanners and baby's toys are all int he same general area. so.... ever watchful is the Nanner King. He keeps a respectable 4 foot distance, so no fur pulling etc yet. adn I wish you the best, with Tommy. I know the DX was an omg one, but I think they do so well with acro kitties now, that Tommy will be able to deal with it, and you too. We are all here to help when it is needed. :-D -- and I am here to stay - too much fun coming up with the crazy stuff these kitties do, too much fun and joy is watching Mannie be Mannie, and passing on the antics. And yes - this place is a blessing, one I am thankful for everyday.

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213, +5.5 81, +6.5 82, +8 82

Mannie sure knows how to get to those good numbers!!! Lovelovelove the picture of Mannie with his nanners!!! I wish Champ felt that passionately about something other than food, but I haven't found it yet!

Hey Mannie. I can help the bucket brigade if you still need help at Rusty's. I'm a pretty strong dude, no lie! I can't wait for the party. It'll be my first time meeting a lot of the other kitties, like Moonie, Sara, and Willie, just to name a few. It's really windy here, as usual, and it's keeping my hummingbirds from visiting my tree in front! I'm not allowed to go outside to try to play with them cuz my bean thinks something will happen to me, or I might bring a live bird into the house like I did one time before. I told her I wouldn't, but I don't think she believed me!! So I'll see you at the party!!

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +2 213, +5.5 81, +6.5 82, +8 82

Nice on Mannies numbers.....such a beautiful thing! LOVE the picture and so happy to hear he is tolerating DGS - before long they will be best buds!

Hey Mannie - we can all party here - it is sunny and flowers are blooming- so everybody comes to FL for the Flower Full Moon party. I promised my mama I would eat a little more if she said we could have the party here.....so I'm trying to eat and she YES! I like Joy to the World.....that would be a good song to sing. I'm glad Moonie is coming too. ~Zoe

Re: 5/15 Mannie AMPS 223, +5.5 81, +6.5 82, +8 82, +11 168

Love the pic! I wish Abby loved her nanners as much as Mannie. She could take it or leave it.

Today ended up being a pretty cycle. Way to go Mannie!

Re: 5/15 Mannie +11 168, PMPS 170

Wow, what a day for Mannie. Michelle, you must be one very happy bean. Mannie is doing so well with his bg, aaaaaand getting along with Nicholas...until little one crawls. :-D
Hehe, you better have that video camera ready, when baby starts going for the 'nanners..'cause we all will want to see.

Re: 5/15 Mannie +11 168, PMPS 170

168 @ +11, 170 @ PMPS - BLUE! and that is not too bad. It does make for a nice PS number, and I don't have to overcarb him to bring him up for onset. so.... hoping the evening cycle will be good.

sorry to be so MIA today - I don;t know where the day went - I seem to say that alot lately. Between my morning walk/hike, and needed shopping this afternoon, the day seemed to vanish. **POOF**

Hi patty - he has had some very good cycles. I love it, and hope it stays... paws crossed! I loved the comment about Champ and his passion for food. Mannie is the same - there isn't a food made that he will turn down. The boy does love his fuds!

Hi Sherry - thx on the photo - it is so normal to see him in that spot. There should be a dent in the carpet cuz that is "his spot".  I too am glad that things are coming along with DGS. YAY!

Hi Kristin - There are a couple of other kitties that aren't too excited about them either. My DD's cats don't at all. Mannie on the other hand - they win out over anything else. Today was nice - i am thrilled,as I really didn't think he would go there today - makes me curious about this evening.

ZOE!!!! You are the best!!! We will have our flower full moon party at your place then - AWESOME!!!! I think you are the only kitty who has warm and sunshine and stuff. All of the rest of us are all wet. Isn't it great that Moonie is coming too? I LUBS Moonie - she sings the best. See you !! ~~ Mannie

Hey Champ- awesome dude! We can use all the help we can get! And You will love the party - we are going to Zoe's in Florida!! I LUBS Florida - it is always warm there. We will probably take the bus - all us kitties can ride in it. We gots a plasma TV, a sauna and hot tub, and our very own hotdog cart. Primo stuff! We rides everywhere in it! SO - Off to Florida - the other kitties are very excited to meet you. See you in a few! ~ Mannie

ok... few things to take care of and then I hope to visit condos!!!!!

Re: 5/15 Mannie +11 168, PMPS 170

Michelle: great photo of Mannie.....great expression on his face and you snagged it. We want more...We want more!!

Very nice numbers all around for King Mannie.

Re: 5/15 Mannie +11 168, PMPS 170, +2 165

165 @ +2 - well, down a little from PMPS. so... surfin' the blues tonight Mannie, or????

Hi Rena - thanks! :-D :-D :-D well ok then... I will have to get busy! These were taken with a canon powershot, and although I really like the thing - it does have it's limitations. indoor photo stuff being one of them: too light, or too dark, flash washes out everything, blah blah blah...... natural light it does a good job. It was sunny yesterday when I took this one - loved the light coming in the room. well anways... more to come!

Looks like a good cycle shaping up tonight. See you tomorrow!

Ella
Hey Mannie, thanks for your help today with the bucket brigade (and getting all those kitties to my cellar). Canoeing in the ground water was fun--sort of! Great that Zoe will have the party at her place. My calendar says Tuesday is the full moon, but does it matter if it's at 4 A.M.? We can certainly start the party on Monday night. Hey. That's tomorrow!! Let's do it!
Rusty
