Bobo is back to being super finicky about food and is starting to not want to eat the raw. He’ll barely touch the pates so I’ve been upping his freeze dried but he can’t eat just that. 1also went back to the pet store and bought a bunch more Weruva and tiki but so far, he’ll smell and walk away. He won’t even try those. I’ve reached out to FF to get the updated carb content of their medleys shredded. The food chart has them around 11% but that’s info from 2017 and chewy says 8.36%. I wanted to confirm what I’m asking, carb content on a dry matter basis right? I think someone mentioned on another thread that it also needs to be on a calorie count basis? That got me confused, so ca you guys confirm it for me please?

The people here use calories but in Tanya’s crf Helen uses dry matter.

Hav3 you tried a different brand of raw? Will he eat ground up cooked chicken? If so you could get EZ Complete and feed it raw or cooked as it does not contain bone. Do you think it’s the IBD making him finicky?

BTW, ITS AMBG as he’s not getting insulin. Congrats on day 3. Why do you think his appetite is so low?
 
He won’t eat chicken except for one brand of freeze dried I found on Amazon. I tried the Inaba chicken filets and nope. I don’t think so I fed him 1/2 a can of the FF shredded last night because I was getting desperate and he licked the bowl clean. So he’s hungry he’s just not wanting to eat what I’m trying to feed him. And yes great amps, despite the FF shredded so I’m really wondering if Chewy has it right and it really is under 10% because then I can feed him that line
 
I can’t make my own raw sorry that’s the only thing I won’t do for my cats. Being vegan, it’s hard enough to feed him already made raw. I can’t touch the stuff. So I’m sorry, what’s the calories versus dry matter difference and how do I even calculate that or ask for it?

I used Helen’s list and dry matter so can’t answer that one.
 
Omg @Angela & Cleo thank you so much! According to this formula, the FF medleys shredded only has 7% which is lower than what’s on the chart from 2017. It sounds like I can feed it to him! The tin anyway, I have to calculate the chicken an and turkey too!
