Breakfast and dinner- wet food only, low carb, low phospohorus.
1.75 u Lantus to follow breakfast
1.75 u Lantus to follow dinner

Last Condo- question about keytones. Not sure wit strip if it was negative or trace. If trace is it urgent that he get to the vet?

Nice cycle last night. I'm sorry about the bounce this morning, though. (It's not unexpected but it's still annoying!)

I know she is worried about going to work since he dropped last night and she had to monitor/give food to keep his numbers up. Is she ok to go?

yeah...she can leave some food down....just the regular low carb though...if he starts to drop, he'll go looking for food

Daughter home another hour or so. That will give us 10 a.m. reading.
Paul or I will come home at lunch and test.
Do not have access at work to MB.
Then afternoon is our only weak spot.

Not a bad bounce considering it's probably his first time in normal numbers for awhile! I wouldn't have been surprised at 500+

Coming back down nicely so far!

You shouldn't have to worry this afternoon Holly..looks like a slow slide down.

Thank you Chris. I sure was nervous. Am so glad you and Marje and everyone else were there for support. You guys are awesome.
Got script transferred to Wal-Mart, am planning to go after barn chores and get the relion syringes.

Good...those syringes will make those doses a lot easier to manage!

You want the 3/10cc, 5/16" (short needle), 30 or 31 gauge insulin syringes .....they have a purple "stripe" across the box and should be about $13 for a box of 100

Now Zack..we have to have a little chat! Cliff diving is NOT an approved sport for kitties, so no more of that!! (now if I can just get China to listen!...lol)

I bet you are exhausted today. You did really well with his numbers last night.

If you go to Walmart and they tell you they don't have the 1/2u markings, be insistent. That happened to us and I asked for the pharmacist and he got them. The clerk at the pharm register was clueless :roll: :roll:

I'm glad he stayed safe for you today. I know you were worried but I was pretty sure he'd go up. :-D

Thanks Ladies. Its been very stressful at work lately, no room for time off.
I was very worried about Zack.
After Possibly 4.5 hours of sleep, I could drop right now.
But Wal=Mart, here I come!

Did you mention to anyone about the keytones check? Did you decide if it was negative or scarce?

I caught a urine sample after dinner. Was torn between negative and trace.
Plan to capture again tomorrow.
if it is trace, does he need to get the vet urgently?

If you can catch it at "trace", make sure you post ASAP and make sure your subject line says something like "Trace ketones! Help!"...there are people here can help you possibly deal with it at home

Nice slide at +4!

I'd get a +6 just to see where he's at (and if you can take a nap now, I'd do it!)

Paul is getting up at +6 (big points for that... :) ).
He has instructions to wake me if in 50s. Feed tsp regular low carb food if in green.

Will take your advice on the trace.

Hoping not to chat with anyone later. Going to catch some sleep.

Sometimes when I've opened a new bottle, it seems like there might be a tiny bit of pink that makes you wonder if it is trace. What I would suggest is that you try one on yourself and see if the color is the same as what you see with him. Usually if it is trace, you will really see a change in color from the beige to that definitely more pinkish color.

Glad DH is going to check him at +6. :-D

Paul checked at +6.5 and + 9.5.
He got worried at the 6.5 reading and fed 1/2 3 0z can high carb. :0
Numbers look ok. updating ss now.
