Hi April, thanks for stopping by. (and Laura and Chichi too). So far so good.

I must admit, I am cheating a bit. Today is the first day of Zeke's trial that I've actually only tested twice - the whole day! Because I would like to avoid being tempted to slip in a few extra pokies, I thought, "why not test him when he's most likely to be at a good number?" So, I'm testing him a few hours after eating. We're relying on "Otto" (the auto feeder - thanks Julie for the aka) to handle the early morning/afternoon feedings, which are scheduled a few hours before his AM/PM tests. That worked really well today. I was not at all tempted to pull out our old AlphaTrak (like I did on Day 3) to verify that the Relion meter is working. I feel comfortable that the Relion readings are accurate enough.

Well, poor little Zekey has a touch of the runs. In a way I'm relieved because he's kinda seemed to me to be a little lethargic. That's what prompted me to pull out the AlphaTrak. I was thinking, "what if the Relion is giving false readings and Zeke' BG is actually sky high. That would explain why he's so lethargic". Well, fortunately that's not the case. Guess it's just because his tummy is a little upset. We have some clay that our vet gave us a few visits back that will hopefully help his tummy get back to normal.

Well, you all have a good night.

Keep it going Eddie. Let's get a trend going here in L&L Land, what do you say?

I did the exact same thing with Rosa a lot of days on her trial! Even now, I only test a few hours after she's had her breakfast. As food, with Rosa, very definitely brought her numbers down from low blue to green, it made sense to me not to have that added extra worry of her hovering around the 110 mark before she ate.

Day Four, Zeke!! Looking good!!!

Hi Marje, Linda and Lori. Thanks for stopping by.

Marje - Hopefully neither the weather nor your airliner delayed your departure out of Houston yesterday. If you have a layover next time you're passing through Houston, perhaps we could make plans to meet. I would love to be able to give you a big hug for all the help you've provided to us over the past 20 months. Glad to see that LBG is seeing a lot of greens and a lot less yellows recently.

Linda - Congratulations on getting Jack down to 0.1u. He is looking really good. Let's keep it going Jack, ok?

Lori - I'm sure you know the saying, "sometimes you've got to go up to come back down". I hope that little extra juice helps Lulu get back to some nice numbers.

Hi Molly. We're pretty proud of him. He's been a real trooper throughout this crazy dance. We're hoping he's ready to take over from here. We'll continue to do all we can to help him do just that.

Hope Skooter's dental helps get him to that finish line soon. Paws and fingers crossed.
