Yesterday's Condo

+11 was 271, +12 is 261 so I gave her a full dose and am heading btb again. I'll get up for a +1.

Nevermind...too hungry to sleep. While I want her back at the falls as much as you all do, I need to find a better FD-bean balance. When I'm only home for 13 hours a day total I need more of those to be sleep and less being the pokey monster (thx Tena :mrgreen: ). I also need to work out again. I'm no good to Abby if I can't function myself.

Thanks again for everyone's support last night. I truly appreciate all the kind, calming words.

Wow Kristin, I just read yesterdays condo. As nerve-wracking as it was, you did great :!:

And I'm right there with you about the balance thing (and about getting our furbaby back to the falls) - I'm home ~11 hrs. and really cannot function without sleep.

BTW, I just LOVE that picture of Abby!!

I'm with you Kristen. Last year I got laid off and am thankful I have more flexibility for Junior (I missed my workout yesterday too). And thankfully my phone interview yesterday got rescheduled for Monday. But I do wonder how people who work are able to manage this?

As I process what happened to us yesterday, I think a large part is knowing what signs to look for and what to do. Better decision making should make that balance more manageable. It's alot of information to digest and the worst part is you don't know what you don't know. But knowledge is power sista!

Good morning guys .. this is a nice sunny start to the day for abby .. and yes, it is a true balancing act to take care of the kitties and to take care of ourselves .. hope you guys have a great weekend!

Kristin - I just read yesterday's condo. You did such a great job!!! I haven't had to deal with that yet, but I only hope to handle it half as calmly as you did when I do.

I hope you have a great stress free Friday and weekend! There are never enough hours in the day, especially with a FD kitty. I feel like I neglect my big baby of a labrador sometimes.

Hahahaha @ Melissa! There was not much calm about last night! There were great folks here who helped me through, but they never saw the tears or heard the shake in my voice that were there from when we shot until we hit about +4.

I also don't know how people do this. I unfortunately am about 800 miles from family and while I have friends they don't live closer than 45 minutes. Even my commute to work is 45-60 minutes! (though, that's Atlanta traffic for ya) I'm seriously going to re-read last night's thread and all the associated links people provided. Some I've read before but obviously need to read again. It's hard to make sense of it all, do what's best for the cat, do what I'm comfortable with, do what the vet wants, and still maintain a reasonable lifestyle. For people who've done this for years I commend you!!

Kristen...wow....what an evening, but you did great! It is soooo scary the first time you see low numbers, but you handled it and have a better idea of what to do the next time. Go Abby, go.....love those greens!! Tell Zoe about them....please!!! ;-)

Hi Kristen - Nice job last night. I think you did great - through the tears, the fear, and the shaky voice - you were in control the whole time, managed it well. Congrats! I know how unnerving it was to shoot what you knew was a falling number. And you had such great people in your corner, getting you through it. and just think of all that valuable data you now have - awesome stuff!

Nice job! It was a joy to watch Abby find those greens, surf it for a while with the help of her bean. Well done!

It is nice to see too that Abby didn't bounce too badly from it all - and she's clearing it already. SWEET! have a great Friday!

Much like Junior, Abby isn't feeling so hot today. I'm sure it will pass; we're both just worn out from last night. Her bounce isn't all that bad either. I expected much worse. Hopefully I won't need to test her a bunch tonight and we can both get some much needed rest.

I hope everyone had a good Friday and have great plans for the weekend!

WOW, and oh boy.... looks like Abby wants to have a repeat performance of last night. well - at least she's not as low. The numbers are wonderful though. Surf soon Abby - then you and your bean can rest.

She heard you Michelle! She went in and ate some LC on her own and has gone up at +3 so I'm sticking with hourly checks...setting the alarm just in case because I'm already zoning out.
