Happy Mom's Day to who ever gets to enjoy it, Lucky and his band of misfits decided it not mom's day.
5am wake up.Lucky is higher then he has been he had Special kitty Super Supper this morning, Wont buy this stuff next month guess it's going to be Turkey and giblet forever.


Hoping Lucky comes down =^:^=
Is he still in some type of cycle? will this ever change is he just having a problem with
insulin,can't be all just food Right?

I so remember how disappointed i would be on the days when Oliver would win the "high number of the morning" award. It's going to change.. really it will. one BIG thing to remember is that +5 of 134 is a number to stick on your sleeve and be proud!!! Kitties bounce while they get used to low numbers and I can hear Sienne saying.. "they bounce until they don't". The nadir is the most important of the numbers in the cycle and 134 is a NICE number.

I'm sure you'll get eyes from people who can give you some good advice. Until then,,, i can offer support and commiserating. :cool:

Thanks Mary and Ollie,we were doing so well for awhile even saw :mrgreen: Lucky has never been one of those easy cats mol had a rough live from birth he saw his life flash in front of him after being picked up by an owl, his throat slashed thats how he got his name he was very Lucky he made it though, has has no teeth from from gum problems also, but he is a trooper :smile:

No, it isn't just all food. Food is just a piece of the puzzle. Is there a %carbs difference between the two flavors?

In spite of what your misfits think, it's way too early to not enjoy your Mother's Day.

Did not get his test done he had got a hold of his brother's food just before I was to test I had put it on counter walked into the other room for a minute and Lucky was up eating it,so knew I wouldn't get a good number on him.I will have to put him i the bedroom when feeding them,sometimes they don't want to eat at the same time Lucky does,and kalohe had been sick so I had given him some food Lucky never jumps on the counter so thought i was safe.I will test him at +5 see what I get and no contraband anywhere.

Ok, if I did get a fur shot when will I see it ? there has been no contraband anywhere today,will I still have to do an increase tonight with him? I don't know what food I can feed him it's all the same I try to keep the lowest carbs for him,He is like mom I guess just got my A1C not good and I'm a healthy eater but there sending me testing supplies and Metformin. Which one of us will win our battle. MOL :smile:

don't sweat it.... they happen....

just write furshot if you are that sure on the blank for last night... something there helps other see the wherefores and the why's later down the road....

and proceed...

and learning which foods get which reaction is a process...
write yourself a note in the margin of what you fed and then you can look back and see .... oh...i gave ___ on this day and his numbers spiked....
I gave it again here and it did it again....

that's how you figure that stuff out....

I gave Lucky 1.50 tonight see what happens, so should I give 1.75 in morning?

so far your numbers haven't changed much from this morning when Sienne said it's worth it to think about increasing....

Based on what the SS says, and given Lucky has been on the 1.5u dose for a good bit of time, I would say that it looks like it's time for another try with 1.75u.

That assumes that you don't see something crazy like a 150 at AMPS tomorrow. ;-)

Mom goofed tonight for his +2 wasn't thinking and gave a little food,didn't spike him so that's good will check i morning before his breakfast @5 or so.
