I came home at lunch and tested after starting the day with 140... she was acting normal and didn't seem to go too low.. I'm wondering if I'm pushing it with the 2u of Lantus though? Since I was able to get numbers today, I may try and seek the vet again tomorrow by phone...

I haven't been able to find the freezedried chicken treats people seem to talk about at the pet store - can someone give me a clue?

Thanks - Michele & Lilly Mae

I don't think I have said hello to you yet, so welcome!

lots of our cats tend to run lower at night than during the day. Since this is your lowest PM reading, I would definitely plan to get some spot checks tonight. Then you'll know for sure whether the dose is too high. I suspect with the food change Lilly Mae might start earning dose reductions really soon.

Do you have high carb wet food on hand? Fancy Feast or Friskies varieties with gravy are good choices if you need to steer low numbers.

Hi Michelle: The freeze dried chicken can be found in the dog treats isle at PetSmart. It is: Prime Taste Treats. They break easily for kitties.

Hiya.. welcome.. droppin through to say hello & I think Lilly Mae is a cute name ;-)
My favorite chicken dust treats are Whole Life.. but here are some products we all have been know to use, see what satisfies your lil lady...
Some can be found in stores.. others on the internet.. shop around for your best deal.

Halo
Purebites

There are A LOT of flavors out there.. I love the Whole Life Product line.. good luck!

I use PureBites freeze dried chicken. I buy the "dog" version...it's the same stuff, and more economical.

You're doing great!!
