Re: 5/11 Stu AMPS 322

Have a great time at the Met. It's impressive that Stu travels with you.

One thing I really miss living in more or less rural CA is out season tickets to the SPCO and MN Opera.

Re: 5/11 Stu AMPS 322

Stu, man... my belly is still full from all the delicious food you made for my party! Thank you so much for all of it! You have had a busy party filled week or so, might be time for a little rest to get those numbers down. This is SO not your color dude.

Hi again Everyone, Thanks for your good wishes for our 6-hour drive. Stu was a really good passenger today. Didn't even get sick going down the mountain road with all the curves! We arrived a little after +7 and so Mr. Cat was treated to an ear poke at +8. He was offered food on the trip, but didn't eat much. He enjoyed some snacks when we arrived. He expressed great interest in our 3-lentil chili (take-out from the Gourmet Garage), but didn't get any! He likes to get up on the table here and inspect our food. Otherwise, he probably slept in the late afternoon (we were out walking and doing some food shopping). Now he and DH are listening to the radio and I am up in the party room on the roof of this condominium (free wi-fi) typing this message. Everyone have a great evening and I'll try to keep you up to date on what we are doing and how Stu is doing. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain. On Thursday I'm going on a bike ride to Liberty Island State Park in NYC harbor, but technically in New Jersey. From Central Park we ride down the West Side bike path to South Ferry, ferry to Staten Island, ride across Staten Island, ride across the Bayonne Bridge to New Jersey, and ride to Liberty Island State Park. Then back via Hoboken ferry to Manhattan and back up the bike path to Central Park (and then, for me, a ride over the Queensboro Bridge into Queens and then over a small bridge to Roosevelt Island (which is in the East River between Queens and Manhattan), where we have a tiny apartment. It should be a wonderful day and it is one of my favorite rides. I hope the weather will be good. While I am out on my bike, DH and Stu will take care of each other.
All for now. Tomorrow night is the opera, so I probably won't get a chance to write too much. Just wanted everyone to know that Stu had a great time at Tugger's party with all his friends and will tell them about his trip soon.

Good Lord woman, your butt must be in pretty good shape to withstand all the bike riding! You certainly are a busy busy person, Ella, I'm tired just from reading what you have planned! I am in awe of your stamina!!

I'm glad that Stu did well on his trip to the city and glad that he came down from those yellows....he was pretty colorful today.

Enjoy your day tomorrow and I hope the weather is wonderful!

Ella,

Next time I'm hiding in your suitcase...you've got the good life!
I still can't get over what a good car-cat Stu is. Hank starts hyperventalating and yowling within minutes even on a 10 minute ride to vet (only place he's ever been). My old cat Cosmo used to do ok some of the time, I'd take him 3 hours to my Mom's back in the day.
Stu in The City...The Sequel!

PMPS looks better.

Enjoy your trip...sounds like you've got great plans!

betty

PS: did I tell you my (late) brother conducted at the Met?

Ella - WHAT A TERRIFIC DAY!! I am sooooooo jealous! A bike rider: fantastic! It sounds so very nice. Gosh I hope you had fun. and great numbers for Stu - considering he is/was traveling and all.

Stu: my man! you got to go the the big city dude! did you get any great recipes? I am glad you didn't puke in the car or nothing. I always puke, makes my mama bean upset :-D Tell me all about the city! And you get to camp out - in a hotel??? That is just so cool. ~~ Mannie
