Yesterday's Condo

It's hot here! We broke a temperature record of 90+ degrees yesterday. The good thing, aside from sunshine which had been sorely lacking, is that all of the trees and tulips are coming into bloom.

Gabby and Giz are just hanging out. I think they are not happy about wearing fur coats at the moment.

LOL! Fur coats + hot weather = angry kitties

I took a picture of the tulips on Michigan Ave with my iPhone yesterday. Love how the city is in full bloom!

As MauiGuppy said, fur coats + hot weather = angry kitties indeed. That's the time for them to go hide into the bathtub! My friends have a Billy too (actually his name is Billy Elliot) and whenever he goes hiding in the bath they know it's time for them to treat his big fur coat. You should see him with his summer trim. He looks like a lion!

Bonnie - that photo of the tulips is wonderful!! I love the tulips on Michigan Ave. The tulips on the greenway between Michigan Ave. and Buckingham Fountain make for a great photo, as well.

We're not expecting as much heat today (high in the 80s) but the temp should be dropping into next week. Hopefully, the kitties will understand.

How funny!!! Here in the heat capital of the world we are in the 70s with fluffy white clouds (rain two days ago). Unfortunately, there is still only ugly brown dirt to look at on the ground. I have to look in magazines to see pretty tulips!! :lol:

When it's so hot, it is next to impossible to remember a long, cold winter. BTW, thanks for all the good advice and support you've given me since Gus and I first found LL. It has made a hard task a lot easier.

WHAT ?? Are you sending that temp to us tomorrow?? I'm getting out the air now. It is probably out one day of summer for the next month. Come on Gabby - bring it down and make your bean's life more exciting.

Nice to see Gabby ending the day with some blues!

And thank you for your kind words about the picture. I wanted to head out to Millennium Park and Buckingham Fountain but it was way too hot. Hopefully the storms tomorrow won't destroy the tulips!
