5/11 Curry AMPS~81 PMPS~89

[Tena and Curry(GA)]

Well she was pretty flat last night and gave me an 81 this morning. Nice Curry. :mrgreen:

We had another "good" encounter w/the kitties last night. :razz: Sid is so persistent. She walked over to the living room right in front of Curry and hissed. It more of a "quit acting like a psycho kitty so we can get back to our normal routine" hiss. Curry didn't respond. That was a first. Then Sid just walked away. When Curry does howl at Sid....its now short-lived and not quite as forceful.

Wish I had another week off next week.....being home and working w/the girls has been helpful.

Off to an early dentist appt. and then a bike ride.

Some changes are definitely occurring w/Curry.

1. Has been really sweet today and yesterday. Calm and not very pissy. Very calm this morning.
2. Her morning nadir is getting later again.....she's not really interested in her +3 mm....will eat it later. This happened in December when her numbers started to decrease and she seemed to need less insulin. Had to stop playing w/her in the mornings since it causes her numbers to drop dramatically. It doesn't seem to impact it in the evening....maybe helps to keep her glucose numbers flat.
3. She switched from evening to morning for dropping numbers. Preferred the evening when I was home to monitor. Oh well.
4. Had two good kitties interactions yesterday. (none so far today....Sid decided she didn't want to see Curry this morning) Have to go at their pace...not mine.

Dental appt done. Now time to go bike.

lovely start to the day for curry! yay for green mornings!

i wouldn't have thought playing would make a difference with their BG, but it makes sense. doesn't exercise help your cells use insulin more effectively? you're observant to figure out the little connections like that.

Beautiful AMPS for Curry....glad to hear they are "starting" to tolerate each other better....would be nice if they went at our pace and not theirs! :lol:

Thpught I'd answer your question in Curry's condo, too! ....How much Flovent is Curry on?

Tena....she is on 2 puffs twice a day of 250 mgs Flovent (Flixotide). She has been on that dose since last summer and has been cough and wheeze free.

I love that every time I stop in here, I see more good progress between Curry and Sid! :mrgreen: Great work, everyone!

Nice green morning, too. I hear ya on wanting to be home when the numbers are dropping. Chaos seems to have stayed on days for dropping numbers despite the fact that I am here at night. Silly kitties. :roll:

Tena....she is on 2 puffs twice a day of 250 mgs Flovent (Flixotide). She has been on that dose since last summer and has been cough and wheeze free.

Umm....same amount for Curry. She's been on this dose for about 1.5 years.

Feline Feud Update: I'm just beside myself. Sid has made 3 passes close to Curry within the last 15 minutes. She got about 2 feet from Curry on one of the passes. Sid has not hissed and Curry hasn't howled. This is totally amazing. What a great staycation this has been.

Nice numbers for Curry too. Interesting on the changes. Just when we get used to things they change them. I could never decide what was better: dropping numbers in the day, or a night. Night I think - guess I like having some part of the day free to do things. :lol: :lol: and fancy that!

Sid made 2 more passes this evening w/Curry in her crate. She even went up to the crate and stuck her nose inside. Curry was amazing... She just watched. So we had 5 very successful encounters today! Awesome girls, just awesome.

I'm wondering if I had Curry switch from Nom, Nom, Nom, Nom to Ommmmmmmmmmmm she could find her inner, quiet, calm kitty.
