Good Morning Lantus Land!!! ~O) ~O)

Well ....it's not pink today? With having messed up the dosing, I am just happy it isn't pink. ohmygod_smile

Yes still kicking myself over the dosing issues...

Yesterday's Condo

Attie had a decent night as far as BG's go. Between the messed up shed and the pop-up thunderstorms...we were grateful to approach the low 200's last night. Last night at bedtime he kept trying to get under the pillows, not under the blanket, under the pillows! He was pretty stressed out and it was hours after the really bad storm had moved through. In fact, it skirted us. We barely had any rain, wind, or hail. Just lots of lightening and rumbling.

Well last night's summit observation. Gary was on the back of the chair looking out the front window. MudCat ventured into the living room and started acting all coy. Her usual evening ritual with me. Gary noticed and watched. She noticed Gary and jumped up on the sofa end-table nearest to me.

Gary jumped down to the seat of the chair. Took on the pounce position and did a butt wiggle.... No growling or hissing from him, that's the play signal! Minutes passed as he waited for the cue from MudCat...I didn't see her signal and Gary got tired of waiting. With a leap from the chair and two bounds across the living room he was at the end of the sofa play charging her!

Oh my....I did not know there was a wildcat in the MudCat! Ears back, eye dilated, and ...well she sounded possessed. :o She didn't run away though. I was able to distract them both and Gary was content to go pounce on a play mouse. MudCat immediately relaxed and looked at me as if to say...."do you see what he just did? did you see that? Aren't you sending him too bed for that..." I looked at her and calmly replied, "he wanted to play," and then joined Gary in a play session.

I spotted Gary earlier in the evening wanting to play with Attie, but Attie was too freaked out by the storm. Gary was crouched down around the corner doing a butt wiggle for a "surprise," and it seemed when Attie rounded the corner Gary realized ....Attie wasn't up to playing right now. Gary sat up and just let Attie pass by.

I always thought MudCat was a youngster with all her playing. Now with Gary's personality starting to really come forward...he is a much younger cat than I thought (5). He might be only 2 or 3 as he is much more active than even MudCat.

oh my, sorry about the pillow hiding. My Tray is a big scardy cat during storms and it usually messes his BG up. Hope the numbers come back down today.

I was  at Mudcat and Gary's antics, just like children sometimes. Too cute though.

Poor Mudcat (tell her I'm sorry for laughing). The butt wiggle commentary made me laugh also.

I wonder if a tight thunder shirt like they use for dogs would help Attie. Have you tried bundling him up in a towel like a burrito? - I have to do this with my heart dog.

What a wonderful day today!!!! Perfect temperature, sunshine, chick-a-dee's busy at the nesting box...I am thinking they may have fledged this afternoon as I saw a little one fall out of the box to the ground. The adult came over fed it and it clumsily made it's way to the cypress tree. Usually a clutch is 4-6 eggs, but I may have only seen the last one fledge....

All yellow today for Attie....so we might see some action tonight.

The boys had a spat this morning that I had to break up...although I came late to the racket and they may have been attempting to play as there were no raised hackles or fluffed tails.... :? I broke them up anyway.

Later Gary was feeling playful and charged up to Attie....

Attie is so cool  . He stood there looked at Gary, flipped him the tail and walked away to the master bedroom. Gary attempted to sneak into the bedroom, but came back several times as if he couldn't find Attie to play with. So I went to look and Attie was up on the bed....purring away. Gary, did not appear to notice Attie up on the bed. Eventually Gary took the window perch and the look of surprise as he turned around and saw Attie laying there was priceless.

This evening they got up together to come for dinner. Attie and Gary washing each other's faces before dinner... and then HISSes!

Sounds like you have a room full of preschoolers. Cute stories. I really wish Champ had another cat to play with, but he's been the only one for too many years for me to introduce another one. He doesn't mind my sister's dog (a rat terrier), but he was a very passive/aggressive bully to my niece's cat when I babysat one week. He actually sat directly in the middle of the doorway, looking out into the hall like he didn't have a care in the world, like he was daring her to pass him to get out of the room. He got yelled at a lot that week!!

Champ is scared of thunder, too. Makes a beeline for under the bed and doesn't come out until he's sure it's over!!

Well they do say the average cat has the mentality of a 2 year old!
