slower slide into the blue.. I think. No clue where he went before +6 though.. hoping he didn't do a super dive and now is on the upswing? guess his PMPS will tell the tale!

Re: 5/10 Rupert AMPS 440, +1.5 360,+6 169

Let's just say he didn't do a divebomb and just did a nice, slow glide to 169. I like that idea much better.

Rupert, you can dive and bounce with the best of them. Pip, did you give him any carbs at +1.5? It's the sudden drops that can also cause bouncing. As hard as it is to give carbs when he's on the pink floor, it just might help reduce the next bounce. How're Rojo and DH? What a trip.

yes he gets carbs at +1 and usually +2, it doesn't seem to help, either he dives or he stays high, can't seem to get a slower dip happening. I guess he swooped to that blue today because he's bounce massively, yet again, for tonight's PMPS. sigh. I wonder if he'll dive again tonight? I shall anticipate that he will and maybe give him some MC/HC at +1 and+2.

Rojo doing well, settling in nicely, he's going to need a bit of rehab on his feet, but other than that, he's really quite beautiful. Rode him briefly last night and he's a sweetheart, just needs alot of 'reminding' of his training that's buried in their somewhere. Hubby doing okay, tired, and still very depressed, but the trip was good and he got to visit with good friends. He likes the new horse but I don't think he's going to bond too much with him. I think he'll ride him now and then, and when the time comes, he'll be ready for his own. Right now we just have to work on keeping hubby from dipping too far into the black hole that he can often get into - usually in the winter, so thank heavens the sun is shining finally and spring his here.

How much and what kind of carbs did you give him at +1.5? Have you ever given him enough carbs to get him to read the same an hour later when he has started to dive? I'm asking because it took me a loooong time to figure this out and this strategy seems to have helped Zener flatten out his curves a bit. And sometimes, it doesn't seem to matter at all what we do.

Rojo is a lucky guy to be with you. I'm glad you're having some nice spring weather and hope the sunshine helps DH.

sigh. I really thought we might get something happening tonight. I guess it's yet another bounce, or NDW. feeling somewhat jaded. Rupert seems fine of course. off to have a really big martini.
