Good Morning LL!!
(Per the norm: so needed after a DGS day.... ), and Happy Furday!
Miss Elsa, out local Barista in Training has been hard at work. Not only has she been busy perfecting the 10 hour energy, she spent most of the day yesterday cleaning and sprucing up the treehouse. She hopes that Mannie's buddies will come and spend time there now and then. She knows it is what he would want. I understand too that she installed an ice cream freezer up there too. Whoa... you kitties really have it made now! There was no need to hunt down morning brew today. I woke up to two steaming cups of 10 hour energy, plus what smelled wonderful! Cimmamum apple mocha, with a dollop of dutch apple ice cream. YUM! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Elsa!
Nicholas and I went to Whatcom Falls Yesterday, near Bellingham, as it had the best weather forecast. I was beginning to wonder though when we were driving up there: Fog was everywhere, until about 1 mile from the Falls. There we had sun and warmth and blue skies. Perfect weather! We had a really nice time, we must have walk those trails a dozen times, visited the fish hatchery three times. He just couldn't get enough. Alot of creek wading and rock tossing and stick hauling...
On one side of the falls there is a small trail that will allow one to walk out onto the top of the smaller falls. so I took him out there, he really loved that. kinda cool to be standing on top of a waterfall. How many ever get to experience something like that? The rest was what was normal for us when we make these "river" trips: rocks, sticks, and river wading, lunch out in the middle of it all. We had a great time, he didn't want to go home. here are the Picassa photo and video links: Whatcom Falls, Whatcom Falls Fish Hatchery, and last but not least: some photos taken while en-route to the falls, Nicholas was being such a goof ball in the back seat.... The Many Faces of Travel
Yesterday Nicholas asked about Mannie. We were playing in the jack yard, and he was busy trying to catch Elsa, who was always just out of reach.   He stopped, then turned around and said he needed to find Mannie too. ;-) So I told him we couldn't , Mannie was gone. He thought about that a moment and then said "ok, but Mannie still happy?" I told him he was, an that was a smile getter for sure from Nicholas. SO we talked some more about the big guy.: all those pills, and all those fuds, and all those nanners. Fun to hear what things made an impression. Miss ya big guy, you will never be forgotten, not by me, not by your best buddy Nicholas.
Have a great day everyone! It is another Nicholas day for me - back to the pool, and then whatever else we can find to do. No doubt the Energizer FISH as Amy called him, will be hard at it.  Love that kid!
And kitties.... remember! Think BLUE, think GREEN!
