Good First of May, Everyone,

Imogene Coca had a great May Day skit: "I was queen of the May Walk, but the May Walk walked away from me." Tried to find it on youTube, but no success. Maybe Celi can find it?

Rusty is fine this morning. He had eaten all of his nighttime food early and kept insistently waking us up before dawn. He charged downstairs at the sound of the "ducks". We had our good test, shot, and--finally--breakfast (turkey combo plate), a little of which he saved for later, as is his custom. He is in his basket by the radiator on this rainy, but mild, day. We need rain, so we are not displeased.

Got to take Edward to yoga now. bbl,

Happy May Day to you and Rusty. :lol: I get a laugh at the way Rusty charges downstairs at the sound of the "ducks".

Nice green there at mid cycle. Hope you're enjoying the day, cloudy here today but warm. I had one short walk in but still waiting on my wheels..

Hi Ella. It tickles me when you refer to the ducks, as my friend has that sound on her phone also. One day she insisted that a workman in her house, call her, so it would play. :lol:

Hi again, everyone,

Rusty had an interesting hour this afternoon exploring the woods in the back of our yard with his papabean. He tracked squirrels, sniffed the air and the ground, found lots of interest, and found his own way back to the house (Edward was always nearby, but wanted to see if Rusty could get back without guidance). This is great, because we want Rusty to know where he is in the unlikely event he gets outside without our knowledge. Rusty usually sticks close to the house (unlike Stu, who would wait for the opportunity to take off!),

While the "boys" were exploring, I was cleaning up our riding lawnmower. It died over winter and this week I have to find someone to work on it (or someone to pick it up and take it to a place where they will fix it). It's a pain, but it has to be taken care of. This is our first lawnmower. A friend convinced us that we needed the little tractor, but I think we would have been fine with a "walk behind" mower.

Happy May day! Sounds like a good one for all there. YAY! Seattle is in the midst of protestors and marchers and a little violence, and stopped traffic everywhere. I am so glad that I do not live in the city. :? :? I like your version better. :-D

I wish I had ducks for my wake-up call.... bummer!
