Yesterday http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=69931 we had our longest run yet of the blues, and today we pay the price with a bounce. I got up 5 minutes early for rowing, just so I could do a test. So, if you see an PM +8.5, that's a pre-rowing test. It was pink, so I had a feeling things would be high this morning. At least it isn't "Hi" on the meter. Neko's eye was also looking a little runny which is a sign of a higher number.

It's actually rather considerate of Neko's liver, mombean has a couple of fundraising meetings to go to this afternoon, so we can reduce the number of pokies today. DH is around if Neko should decide to take a sudden plunge this morning. Neko is currently in the kitchen waiting to get to know her new friend the auto feeder a bit better. Other than the weepy eye, Neko seems fairly alert and didn't make any swipes at Theo which she does if she is in a bad mood from high BG. Still waiting for her to pee since last evening, so that's an improvement. Unless she found someplace else to go.... No yard patrol yet, must be the weather.

Rowing report: another gray and drismal day in the PNW, just misty when we started and started to pick up as we were getting off the water. For the first time this year we didn't have to put lights on, it was actually light enough at the start. The first time this year we went out we could barely see in front of us, it was like rowing by braille. The water was lovely and flat this morning. The only other boats were a water taxi and the university researcher and his sea lion, so we mostly had this piece of ocean to ourselves. We did have a harbour seal pop up and eye us over when we had stopped after our warm up. The Canada Geese by Gray Rocks Island were making a fuss - must be mating time. We heard the loon again.

Re: 5/1 Neko AMPS 546 +2 457

wonderful report on neko & his new love! hopefully she'll be back in those lovely blue numbers again in no time.

and "drismal" - yup, that about describes us too. the many shades of gray . . . although being on the water sounds beautiful.

Re: 5/1 Neko PMPS 404

PMPS 404 - just got back in time for test/feed/shoot from my afternoon of meetings at opposite sides of town.

Neko is out doing yard patrol, her first time out today. I'm sure she'll be in soon for her date with the auto feeder. A minor milestone for her today, she went 3/4 of a day in between pees, instead of twice a day. Seems to be slowing that down a bit which I hope means a bit of healing.
