Vanessa took her to the vet, and was successful with their help to get a shot. So that’s great! They shaved two spots which should help with giving the shots. And they showed her other spots and suspect that she has a lot of scar tissue in her scruff area which makes them harder to give.

Do you know if they were able to check ketones by chance?

I hope Chloe is cooperative with the new shot areas, it has to be more comfortable for her if she has a lot of scar tissue in her scruff. Also something to note, Vanessa, keep an eye for numbers today, different spot with less scar tissue could mean different absorption for the insulin. Sometimes it makes absolutely no difference, but you never know.

She's been touchy with me today since I took her to the vet this morning. She hasn't allowed me to touch the areas they shaved. She had a royal FIT at the vet. She's warming up to me more throughout the day, so let's hope she's cooperative this evening when I go to give it to her again and use the new spots. Her numbers have come down this afternoon, so I'm hoping for the best. I just tested her at 4:00pm and she's down to 229, so that's something. Fingers crossed!
