I shot a falling blue AMPS yesterday morning and he stayed under 200 until +7. He started to bounce last night, but was under 400, so I didn't give R. Despite my previously stated intent to only give R on the first cycle of a bounce, I gave it this morning when I saw the red AMPS.

I never know what to expect from him in response to R, but I was looking at 3/29 and 4/07 for clues (other examples of a red AMPS that followed a blue AMPS). Looks like he might be following the 3/29 playbook, and there's a chance we might have a green PMPS tonight.

PMPS = 137 (3rd meal LC 7%)
[6th cycle on 11 units of Lantus]
+2 = 103
+3 = 89 (2 tsp LC 5%)

If the rate doesn't change, he'd be safe for another hour without food, but since he tends to pick up the pace, I fed a little LC to carry him through the next hour until his 4th meal. It's so good to see green again!!! :D

I don't usually get a +3, so I'm not saying this is the first time it has ever happened, but this is the earliest green I've ever recorded on the PM cycle! (3/29 might've been the first. That was another day that he got R for a red AMPS that followed a blue AMPS.) I'm hoping I won't have to open a can of HC tonight, so I might give a few Temptations treats with his +4 meal if his BG is 60 or below at +4.

+4 = 74 (4th meal LC 7%)

No MC or dry treats yet. I'm hoping this meal will slow him down a little.

+5 = 89... yay!

It might be a food spike from the +4 meal, or it might be the start of the bounce, but I gave 3 tsp LC 5% and am taking my meds now. Next check at +8.
