Re: Bud - I am at a loss. Numbers make no sense...

Did I miss something? She is receiving chemo, is that for lymphoma? Is it in pill form? That makes me wondering if that could be affecting her numbers.

Details in notes section of SS on things like the chemo would be helpful.

It seems reasonable to have raised the dose given her cycles the past few days. Sorry she's giving you such worries. And that I can't be more helpful on this.

OK, now I remember. The urisol (sp?) was recommended by Pamela. She has more experience with Triaditis, so I'll defer to her on that.

Good idea to note meds on spreadsheet. Yo could also list which meds she gets in the notes, to help you keep track and then we see it too :-D

now, given all that....

What do you make of her numbers? :?

Re: Bud - I am at a loss. Numbers make no sense...

It's highly possible that everything she has going in is making it very difficult for her body to use insulin properly. She has gone low on tiny doses, which makes me think she is making her own insulin sometimes. She got little response to the .5U & .6U doses, which can mean glucose toxicity so raising the dose is appropriate to break that.

Unfortunately until she has some resolution of the triaditis, her numbers are probably going to be lousy.

I still question whether or not the leukeran is raising BGs. maybe you can ask others who've used it on the board what effect they saw.
