Thanks for the update, Beth. Glad she's feeling better and is eating better. I'm sure that's a relief, despite all the meds.
I really think fluids are not used or recommended enough, so I'm glad she felt better afterwards. Did you ask about doing them at home? One of the treatments for pancreatitis is sub-Q fluids. It is also a skill that most cat owners should have under their belt because depending on the illness fluids can really help. I was very intimidated by it, but knew some day I'd have to do it. That day came sooner than later (I've been giving fluids since '08) and now I give them to both Tigget & Gandalf without a problem. Except last night when the needle fell out of Gandalf and stuck me in the bare leg since I sat on a chair beside the counter with my legs crossed!! I think I even got a little fluid 'cause there was no water going down my leg and I had to pull it out, which it then bled like crazy and now there's a little blood spot under my skin.
So lesson is - if you give sub-Q fluids, do so with pants on :lol:
