Good morning LL. Liz had an early AM class so I am putting up the morning condo. We hope it is as beautiful where you are as in Zener's backyard this morning. He is out on his rounds, had a face to face meeting with Tillie's squirrel and poo patrol was successful. All in all, a very nice morning for the big guy. Beans are appreciating a break from yesterday's drama-rama cycle.
Yesterday's condo
Today
4/9/12 Zener
AMPS 401, 2nd cycle @1.25u, 1/2PP, 1/8 zantac, 1/4 ondansetron, 1.4oz 9%, 1/16t miralax
+1.5 312, 1PP & 3mg Zobaline, 0.65oz 9%, 7 drops kidney liq
+3 264, 0.95oz 9%
Zener used his trusty old litter box in the garage last night, twice, and no piddle pads in the indoor litter boxes! We think this may be the first time in a year he has gone out through his kitty door into the garage and used his pee palace (a giant storage container with an accessible opening cut for his special needs) and no piddle pads inside during the night.
Once his FD developed, he had trouble getting through his cat door or getting out in time to do his business in his garage LB - urgency, leg weakness, fatigue and all sorts of associate FD symptoms made it tough for him. We adapted by putting litter boxes inside, but he did not like to use them. He preferred peeing in boxes, on papers or clothes on the floor! We resolved that by putting washable cloth piddle pads in the indoor litter boxes instead, or in front of the boxes and that worked! We sure do a lot more laundry than we used to pre-FD.
Now that it is spring, he can go out in the yard more and he loves that! In fact, it is warm enough here this morning, we can leave our patio door open and the kitters can go out in the backyard at will. dancing_cat
Sending best wishes to CD & BigMac, Katie, and others in LL who are ill or sad. :YMHUG:
