Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

One eager cat trying to get us up this morning. It's lighter in the room now that we have taken the quilts off the porch doors, so it was an earlier wake-up call!! Rusty had eaten all of his nighttime food and was hungry for breakfast, both sittings of which have been eaten. He's had a brief play with Red Ears and is now on his cushion by the radiator. (The door quilts made a big difference: it's cold in here this morning, since it is still only 22 degrees F. outside, but we are expecting temps in the 50s, maybe even 60. That would be something!) Yesterday afternoon when we took the quilt off the door to the downstairs porch and moved the furniture so that we could open the door, Rusty wouldn't go out on the porch through that door!! It "wasn't right". But he did go out on the porch through the other door, the kitchen door, which doesn't have a quilt in the winter and through which he had gone before. Cats sure are creatures of habit!

Everyone have a fine day,

Ella & Rusty

Oh my, did you say 60 degrees today - that's a heat wave for you guys, right! It was only in the mid to high 50's here yesterday, and I was freezing! That's a good idea to use the FF Turkey & Giblets as a small treat at night for Rusty. You mentioned this in my condo yesterday when we were talking about it supposedly being low carb. I'm thinking I may use it the same way with Maggie when necessary.

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117

Morning Ella, Rusty and Edward!

Nice on the quilt removal. :-D and now bring on Spring. It sounds like it is just around the corner.... potential of 60 today? awesome! we are still in the mid 50's for temp tops, but getting there. Now if we could just get rid of all this intermittent rain. remember that? sun rain sun rain sun rain: normal Seattle daily spring pattern.

Too funny on Rusty and the door. Yes, they are such creatures of habit. One day he will decide it's OK, and out he goes.

Hey Rusty!! what's up today.... I am soooooooooooo tired form all the KTSS trips. It was so nice to care for our friends, but wow! My paws are pooped. You wanna hang out some today? Anybody got sun? ~~ Mannie

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117

That is a RIOT about the door! Too funny!
So Ella...I think I am ready to the winter snow thing....maybe I can come up there and visit...oh wait...did you say you were having a heat wave today? The quilts are off for spring?? hmmmmm....no snow picnics? No cross country skiing?
Well, I guess I will just have to wait till next winter to see your snow.
(of course, by then I will be a year older and even more brittle...well, we will pencil it in just in case...)
Hope you have a wonderful day!! Scritches to Rusty boy! :YMHUG:

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117

Sixty degrees! That's sunbathing weather.

Thanks for stopping by our condo today, Ella. I have been thinking of Stu quite a bit lately, of course, as I always do on Bear Man's milestone dates. I do love reading Rusty's condos, and getting lots of inspiration from you on getting in shape. Ted definitely feels a bond with Russ since they got to know each other so well on Russ' visit to Canada.

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117

Sounds like Rusty is going to be your alarm clock. Great that you expect a temp in the 50-60 range. SPRING. Hope Rusty comes back down to his lovely blue surfs for you. He is a special guy. Have a wonderful weekend.

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117

The 60's sound really nice for upstate NY. It is going to be in the mid-80's today here in Atlanta but it is already getting humid so I would prefer the low 70's. Enjoy the beautiful weather! Too funny about Rusty and the door with the quilt.

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117

Yes total creatures of habit, until they decide to change things. ohmygod_smile Looking good today, Rusty! Tess is matching you! You two want to come down a little together?

Re: 4/9 Rusty AMPS 117, +5.5 58

Rusty decided to come down to a nice green. I think some of it may be attributed to excitement. When we came back in from shopping he was at the back door, so I opened it and he went out (first time he has ever wanted to do that). He was all eyes and nose as he traced the perimeter of the house (just like Stu used to do). He even lingered at one of Stu's spots of much interest (I think other cats visit there occasionally, since it is under a bay window). Rusty went as far as the front steps and then turned around because they are still snow-covered. One thing he did not do: eat brown weeds!!!!! A chipmunk was sunning himself on the stone wall by our "butterfly" garden (read "weed" garden), but fortunately Rusty didn't see him!
He's asleep on his perch now, but I'm going to wake him in a few minutes to get a +8. Then I might take my old clunker bike out (the roads are too awful for my better bikes).
Back later,

Ella & Rusty

Wow....nice surf today, Rusty!!! He has lots of new territory to explore now that the quilts are down!!

I think if you get in the 60s today it will be warmer there than here!! Cold and rainy but we need the rain. Hope you all have a lovely day!
