Good Morning LL,

Well, I thought I lost my laptop last night and was going to have to have repairs but was able to fix it myself today, thank goodness. All the same I better make sure I'm still under warrantee and if not extend it. This is the exact same problem I had with the last Del Laptop, inner batteries dying from over heating. What a drag!

Has anyone had a problem with Wellness lately? I opened 2 bad cans in a row last night, both with Nov 1 2014 dates! I'm returning all with that date.

Racci is feeling good today after her beautiful numbers yesterday. Hopefully she'll do the same today. I had given her some hi-carb last night when she was only 150 at pm because it wasn't a good night for me & bending was not going to work. I knew I wouldn't be able to properly supervise her. Hopefully that won't effect her day, just last night.

Hi, Melanie, I didn't expect to see a post from you today when I read your condo last night and you said your computer was dying. Dell batteries are notorious for failing - maybe there's a recall on the one you have.

I haven't had a problem with Wellness but I have had with Merrick. I just got off the phone with customer service about a bad can I opened this morning - it didn't smell funny, just looked funny.

Sorry last night wasn't a good one for you! I hope you feel better as the day goes on. :YMHUG: from Mooks and me.

Hi Randa,

I didn't expect to be here either but tried my old trick of reseating the battery and it worked. It's still not going to work for long though. When they start that it's just a matter of months. My last one went through 3 outer batteries and 2 inner batteries before I gave up on it. This one was too expensive and fancy shmancy to give up on. :lol: So have to call Dell and make sure my warranty is current. I'll check out the recall. Didn't think of that.

I had 5 cans with that date and 3 with another date and the other date were fine but I opened 3 bad ones with the 11/1/2014 date on it. They stunk and looked funny! I stuck them in the freezer in plastic till I can call the store & mfr because I'm not using any from that date. Luckily I just got 2 cases online and they're a different date but also November 2014 so I hope they're ok.

I have good days and bad days but yesterday was one of those bad ones and last night I was ready to climb the walls. Today is much better, thanks. That's why I'm quiet sometimes or testy. There are nights that typing is just impossible for me. Of course stress makes it worse & I did not have to start thinking about losing my lifeline, my computer. :shock: ohmygod_smile nailbite_smile My whole life is in it. I couldn't send it out to be repaired if it was something I couldn't fix! :smile:

Racci has stayed cheerful all day in the blues though high, not eating well though. I think that bad food smell turned her off too. She's been sleeping most of the day so will want me to play all night, the cute little devil. How is Mookie doing today and you?

I don't have any food in the house that Racci will eat except the dry DM! I could flip I'm so aggravated! I got 8 cans of the only food she eats, Wellness Salmon & Trout, to hold us until my order got here from online. Well it turned out that 3 looked bad, 1 of those stunk to heaven, all of them are from November 2014. My order came and the date is also November, 2014 and it also has a weird kind of smell to the first can out of 2 cases I bought! I don't know if they changed the formula or if November is a bad month for them or what! Meanwhile I tried 3 other types of food and she wouldn't eat them! I finally had to give her some DM tonight and will have to give her some in the morning and see if I can find some Core Salmon. That's the only other canned food she eats and then straighten this out with Wellness and find out if it's a new formula or if they have another month that's good to give me.

I'm so upset about having to give her dry food. I just don't know what else to do. I could syringe feed it but if I force feed the wet, she may never eat it again! Any suggestions? I have FF & NV besides from the Wellness but she refuses everything.

Awww, Racci, you have got to eat your fuds! Melanie, have you tried any toppings? (On the non-icky cans of course!) ohmygod_smile Fortiflora or parmesan cheese? Or got any meat baby food?
 
I tried parmesagn cheese and she wasn't interested. I tried sprinkling her favorite dry food on it and that didn't work. Once the dry got wet she didn't want it. I can't use the fortiflora because she has a constipation problem. Can you think of anything else?

The problem is, she thinks everything is yucky that's wet. She agreed to eat the Wellness salmon & trout but she never really loved it. I think she did it to make me happy mostly and now that it's changed or this batch is weird I don't know if she'll ever eat it again.

Thanks for anything you can think of. I'm desparate for her not to lose the progress she's made.

I wish I had something to suggest ((Melanie)) try not to stress about it though the MD dry food as a once (or twice) off shouldn't ruin her progress. Hope you can get the Wellness issues sorted out, that's a lot of bad food :? and why these things happen when you're not feeling great yourself :evil: hope you're feeling better soon.
