Morning ~O) Maggie had a great day yesterday. I may be missing some nice greens overnight. I'm still puzzled by no wake-up calls the last few days and hope she's not hiding some discomfort, as we all know our cats hide pain and discomfort. I'm still feeling some sadness over the loss of my friend/neighbor, and I wonder if Mags is sensing it and grieving along with me! All P's in place and now Maggie is napping in bed. I joined her earlier her for a btd and cuddles. Wishing everyone a nice day. Our weather has been beautiful, so I know a walk is first on agenda.

Cats, like any of our domestic animals, are sensitive to our human emotions. Whenever I get upset about an impending storm, one of my civvies (Tiny, one of Blackie's daughters) will literally follow me around, and "talk" to me to try and comfort me. Usually, it doesn't work, but she tries just the same. Hoping for a nice surf for you both today. Have a good day. :)

Good morning! Nice start for Maggie today! I believe that our emotions transfer to our fur babies. I'm sure Maggie knows what you are going through and is comforting you. Enjoy your walk today Ann!

Nice start for the day! Aside from not waking you up, is Maggie being "Maggie"? I bet she's just changing thing up, to keep you on your toes. You know they love to do that sort of thing to us!

Amy, yes aside from the no wake up calls, she's eating LB'ing and a little playing with her mouse toy. Maybe a little spring fever, too! Off to run some errands, seeing the 146 as a permission slip, no chance of dropping from Mags.

Sounds like Maggie is just sensing your change in feelings due to your neighbor and her cat. Cats are so hypersensitive to our moods. Looking ok for Maggie today and she is definitely giving you permission to go out and enjoy the day without worrying about her.

Hi guys .. how nice maggie is giving you permission to go out .. hopefully your weather is as nice as ours is! I am sure maggie is just sensing some sadness around you right now and feels the same .. I'm sorry you are feeling this way though .. it is hard to lose a friend ...

I too wold think that Maggie is sensing your grief, grieving along with you. They can be so attuned with our feelings. She seems fine otherwise.

Maggie's numbers are certainly bot indicating anything is wrong. Cats do sense our moods and sometimes they just decide the routine needs to be changed. Enjoy the weather, I hear we will be getting more rain!

Thanks Georgia, Devon, Michelle, and Ann & Tess for the visits. Yes, I think it's so true our kitties do sense our moods. I left Mags a bit of food, but she didn't touch it. She insists on fresh, so I gave her a little snack just now to tie her over. She's doing so well and on such a small dose I don't think it will make too much difference. I may start using the auto feeder when I'm gone. Ann, yes, rain starting Wednesday. We get all excited over rain here in CA. :-D

Hi, Ann,
I'm sorry you're feeling sad; losing a friend is always difficult.
Is Mags letting you sleep late? or is she the one sleeping late? The mysterious ways of our cats! I love them for it.

Grief has its own timeline and nothing can hurry the healing of a heart. I'm sure Mags is sensing your sadness and grieving and is offering her best of comforts to her ever lovin' bean AND a nice green to help cheer you! :mrgreen:

(((Ann))) we are here for you. I'm so sorry....but as Anne said, it has its own timeline and we all have to let it be.
 
I know how you're feeling ((Ann)) I am still missing my friend Rob too. I don't think we will ever stop missing them but hope that the sadness reduces over time leaving just the happy memories.
