Not sure if the vet has given Leroy a quick check yet. The skin culture results are ready, just need to be reviewed by the vet and surgeon at some point today.

I applied to a position a few weeks ago and a recruiter from an employment company contacted me. I responded back to the email and never heard back  Yesterday the same person called and said they happened to come across my resume online. Um, what? ๐Ÿคจ Anyways, it's a contract position while an employee is on maternity leave. The contract may or may not be extended. The exact same position is posted on the actual hiring company's web site which I had applied to earlier this week when I saw it posted. This recruiter person looks like a red flag to me. I'll talk to the person again today but decline the opportunity.

Recruiters can be a pain but I did find my precious job through one. Could be just generic messaging when they say they found you online. Temp position though would be tough. Hoping for good leg news today :bighug:

The vet's secretary doesn't have any updates yet :nailbiting: Vet has been busy with appointments and a Zoom meeting and generally being pulled in a million different directions.

I missed the recruiter's call so will have to call him back at some point today. My friend once worked at the company where this contract position is based at. She said that the contract positions are ๐Ÿ‘Ž (poor pay and benefits from the employment contract place) and contractors are treated very differently by actual company employees (no surprise there). She said that if I can get a FTE position there, it would be way better than a contract position and having to find a new job a few months later. I haven't heard back from the FTE position I applied to yet.

Lime:nailbiting::nailbiting: But no insulin since this morning's half dose. Not sure if he got fed the Koha I left with him. He just had a LC snack. No hypo symptoms. He's slow and a bit groggy from being sedated earlier.
And a bad lime, at that! Dang. I hope he didn't go any lower today.

Oh, skin culture shows a really resistant bacteria strain. No antibiotics at the moment. The vet thinks Leroy will be just fine without it. The vet also said that Leroy is doing surprisingly well despite all his issues and age and it's all because of me taking extremely good care of him ๐Ÿ˜Š

He needs another poke and snack soon. Hopefully he's done scuba diving and has resurfaced :nailbiting:
