Hi LL land. I didn't post yesterday, just too tired but I'll put Daphne's numbers here from yesterday.
AMPS 144
+3 72
+4 86
PMPS 100
+5 60

Not too much else to report.

I stayed in bed for most of today, the past few months are really catching up with me. I'm glad Daphne isn't giving me too many crazy numbers to work with. (anti-jinx)

Sending healing vines and white light to all those who need.

Hi, Barb - I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, and I hope more bedtime helps. Daphne looks great, so no worries there. Take good care of yourself.

Here's an article I thought you'd find interesting, about high morning numbers in human diabetes: http://forecast.diabetes.org/magazine/features/rocky-morning-highs

The idea of timing the pm insulin shot so that the nadir coincides with the nocturnal release of hormones between 4-8am is very interesting.

Yes Randa, I really think so too, for Daphne especially, her AMPS stands out, never flails to be high, and I'm sure for some other kitties and humans too. I plan to change her time as soon as I'm feeling a little better, since it will be a 4 hr. time change, every 15min.,..could take all summer!

Randa, sorry, I forgot to thank you for the article, I was distracted and didn't read it till now. I saved it also, and I'll try some of the ideas. It had a few things I had not read before. Thanks!

Thanks Celi and Anne, I'm realizing I can't completely ignore my own health for Daphne's, and I will have to find a way to take care of both. I've managed this illness for 30 years, raised my son who is now 21, and other obligations, so Daphne will just be one more challenge I'll figure out how to deal with and not drain myself so much. If I didn't have LL land, I don't know how I would be able too, so I'm so grateful for my LL family, and my DH who works so hard, and still helps me out at home and with Daph.

(((Barb))) you are right about needing to take care of yourself too, you can't take care of Daph if you don't! I have every confidence that you will figure it out, you are quite a woman and very strong despite your health issues. I'm already amazed by how you manage everything - it's not just your low shooting that inspires me ;-)
