Re: 4/8 Pepper AMPS 215

I like the way he only came up a little bit yesterday, and then went back to green numbers. This dose is looking good on him, right now.

Re: 4/8 Pepper AMPS 215

Thanks for stopping by, Dyana. I'm so glad to finally hit a dose that looks good (at least for now), but now if we could only get some big reductions like Mr. Grey! We can dream...

Re: 4/8 Pepper AMPS 215

nice.

I wonder if that one shot of 24.25 helped bump him back to good numbers, or if 24 would have done it on its own if we had just been more patient. Who knows? But this dose is looking good for Pepper right now.

Reductions aren't just a dream, they can happen for anyone. Maybe not as fast as Mr. Grey, but you never know. The thing about high dose conditions is that they can switch on and off in an unpredictable way. This is good, though, because even when he wanders into pink, he leaves it fairly quickly. Yay!

Hi Libby. I fattened his dose a little. I'm not sure if I've actually heard that term explained, but I took it to mean that you stop the plunger just under the line instead of on the line. It seemed to work.

Fat or skinny doses can make a difference. However, given the amount of insulin Pepper is getting, it's such a teeny amount, I'd be surprised if that's what did it.

I'd be on the alert. For some cats, a flat yellow cycle is an indication that the next cycle may be a busy one.

Pepper is really doing well on clearing those bounces. As far as reductions, although desirable, what's more important is the amount of time spent in good healthy numbers. Right now I'd love to have a SS with the nice colours Pepper is showing.
