Morning ~O) a little high for Mags this morning. Mags had some BFF Tuna & Chicken and Weruva Paw Lickins Chicken as her overnight fuds. I didn't think I left her much fuds, but she cleaned the plate. I think the BFF Tuna & Chicken is the one causing a higher spike. I think I will exchange it for the Weruva Paw Lickins Chicken today and hope I still have the receipt. They know me by now even if I don't have a receipt.

A little over 4 P's this morning. Mags had a little accidental liquipoo overnight. I think I either gave a little over the dose or too close to bedtime. I try and space it out thru the day. So Not a real 5th P for Detective Poo's report but getting there. :lol: Mags is a sleepy girl this morning. She kind of bunched up a soft blanket and made a bed of it on top of my bed.

TWC says cloudy and windy today; that should be a nice change. Pet store exchange of fuds later and errands.

Aw, Mags....you girls are making your Mamabeans crazy!

I think Paw Lickin' spikes Trix more than Chuckles, does, but Trix also likes Paw Lickin' more than Chuckles. At the same time, she's had great cycles on both, and so-so cycles on both. I had been doing OK with that until the drop last night and the bounce today....that seems to have pushed me into the land of frustration! We'll get this sorted out, though.

I'm jealous of Mags sleeping on her bunched up blankie!!!

Hi Melissa, looks like Mags listened and read her condo. I can never have enough soft blankies. :-D

Hi Amy, sometimes it's hard to pinpoint what causes the spike and/or sometimes if they're just being a cat! :-D Mags does like the BFF Chuckles but only fresh out of the can. They're both great fuds, the BFF and Weruva.

Hi, Ann, that's interesting on the fuds and spike ~ I wish there was a little warning on the food: "Caution, this low-carb/low-phos. food may cause a spike in BG."

Or, "Caution, this food may cause confusion for the human as she wonders if it's indeed the food that's causing a spike." :roll: :lol: :lol:

Good Morning Ann & Maggie,

I think it might be the potato starch in the Paw Lickin' Chicken. They must use it to make the "gravy". I can't wait to try this food on Rusty and will look for it next month when we're in NYC. It sounds like all the kitties really like it.

One of the nicest things about our kitties is how much they value their comfort. Maggie wanted her blanket to be just right. Good for you, Mags!

Awww, I think it's so cute, that Maggie makes her own bed. She knows how she likes it. :-D

These foods sound so yummy for kitty, but confusing. With a cat that likes to spike for unknown reasons, how does one know if it's the food? Sheesh!
I think I'll call the various pet stores accessible to me, before ordering online. I really want to try those two in particular.

Hahaha, on Mags liking the food only fresh from the can. Mine don't like it microwave reheated.
Have you noticed the difference in the smell of the fresh? I think it does smell better, but then cats like stinky smell. Yuck!

It looks like a slow slide today. Mags seems pretty laid back this morning, so I'll take it as a permission slip to do the exchange thing at the pet store and enjoy the weather, It's breezy and lightly showering.

Devon, thanks for visiting Mags. I know, don't you wish we could snuggle up with them all day. Give Mocha some scritches and hugs from us.

Thanks Detective Poo. Poor Mags, she had a butt wash earlier. I hope it solidifies today.

Hi Barb, yes, only fresh for this kitty most of the time. Yes, it's smelly when first opened, especially the BFF Chicken Chuckles. Once it's refrigerated and left on the counter to warm or mirowaved, it loses the smell and apparently freshness, according to Mags.

It looks like food has caught up with Mags, but we managed to stay in the blue.
 
Hi Ann. Nice day for Maggie. Glad to see that she took the slow elevator Dow to the blue zone. Hope the Weruva Paw Lickins Chicken doesn't cause Maggie to spike especially since she enjoys it.
