Day 14 is here!!
Must say it is a bit anticlimactic as I cannot test Kitty - ran out of test strips yesterday morning!! I haven't yet bought new strips, as we will not be needing them as much (did you note the confidence in my voice: we will stay OTJ :!: ). So, I need to find a pharmacy that sells less than 100 strips at a time... Another fun search into Russian pharmacies (which, by the way, are very well equipped!!)
Any how, today had a bit dramatic start... I had just put out cat food that should last for 24 hour (I am again travelling on Monday and now I want to test how pet sitter can feed just once a day instead of visiting twice a day). Kitties were enjoying their food, and I was getting ready to make my breakfast tea. I pulled the glass tea kettle out --- and dropped it on the floor next to kitties! Well .... as you can imagine, the kettle went into thousands of pieces and the whole thing scared the h*ll out of kitties who ran out as fast as they could, leaving also the food all over the kitchen. So, there I was --- in the middle of kitchen with zillion pieces of glass and kitty food. Gosh, I hate cleaning! After 30 minutes of vacuuming I think there is no single flake of dust in my kitchen (but I am sure to find a piece of glass in 6 months!)! Of course I also had to toss out all the food as I could not be sure that there was no glass.... Both kitties were hiding under the bed, and finally they came out as things got back to normal.... A good thing about this was to notice that also Kitty fits under the bed!! Joey is there all the time (he's the really sensitive one), and I think Kitty earlier has not been fit enough to go under there. But as he has lost the weight and gained strength otherwise, they both were there giving me the look: what the heck happened?
