Hoping for another string on blues as soon as this pesky NDW is done :cool::cool:

Jess, I was just reading your comment in yesterday's thread how Charlie was going to the place he gets his shots, as if asking for more insulin. Aw man, that hit me hard. It's so difficult to imagine how they are experiencing everything. How the FD must make them feel, the BG ups and downs, along with all the pricks and all the jabs, plus the anxiety, frustration and concern I'm sure they sense in us when things aren't going to plan. It must be so confusing! And yet they know we are trying to help. I don't even know what I am trying to say. It just makes me emotional, thinking how dependent they are on us, and how sweet and cooperative they can be. I can tell by the way you talk about him that Charlie is one of these sweetheart cats.

Thank you! I'm hoping so too.

And I know exactly what you mean. It kills me that they don't understand what's going on. My poor boy. I'm so grateful that he trusts me enough to know that all the weird stuff I'm doing to him is good for him and not to hurt him, haha. He absolutely is a sweetheart but it's only really with me :joyful: He'll let me do just about anything but he doesn't really trust anyone else--ESPECIALLY the vet

Here's a pic from one of the first times I tested his BG. Sitting in my lap like a little gentleman:cat:

Charlie does sound like such a ham! And I totally understand what you're saying, Helen. I am always amazed that it's hearing the top pop to the test strips or the click of the pen that gets him running for a snack.... knowing darn well there is a price to pay. So much love for these sugar kitties! :bighug::cat::bighug:
He's such a goofball. Even when he's just sitting around minding his own business he's funny and entertaining. I could watch him for hours.

Sugar kitties really are the sweetest (pun intended). They're so special :bighug:

I hope he makes it out of that wonkiness zone soon!!

That's such a great picture of your sweet boy! He's beautiful! Love his white chin. :cat:
