i guess we're really seeing the effects of the part-fur shot last night. nothing like trying to stab a moving target. it's gotten better - i am not sure it's actually hurting him anymore but i think he just REALLY doesn't want me doing things to him.

he's also acquired the perfectly time head jerk. get the ear ready, get the lancet positioned and then *boink* teeny jerk. repeat. repeat. always before i've actually poked him. i have to move faster!

silly kitter. good thing i love him so much. cat_pet_icon

Gracie holds her head VERY still for the pokey. It's just when I put the meter up....just about to get blood and EAR TWITCH :lol: :lol:

heheheh - he does the ear twitch with the meter too. sometimes i make sure the meter is touching him before i'm sliding the test strip over to the drop. i just keep thinking "don't surprise him with a touch." sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. this morning i got a face full of blood spatters because i hit the vein accidentally and then he shook his head in the nanosecond while i was grabbing the meter.

Oooh...I hate when I accidentally hit the vein. And yes, that's when Trixie chooses to shake her head the hardest. She's an expert at the head duck too. What's funny, though, is that she still comes running just about every time she hears the lancing device click...Pavlov was on to something, that's for sure.
