KT - there you are wearin' that pink suit again....Mama suspects it will get better now after you got rid of that HUGE awful furball.
Celebrate our Joys today!!!! There are several of them so guess our condo today is LOOOOONG!
First, I truly have to share my grin - one of those silly great big ones....I NEVER dreamed that I would get EXCITED, truly EXCITED to receive boxes of syringes WITH NEEDLES in them! I spent my life absolutely terrified of needles - I couldn't even get my last polio booster as a child because it was a shot, they BENT two needles trying to stick it in my little clinched butt. After two of them, they quit. Years later, Dr. wanted to draw blood but there wasn't a chair - told him I MUST sit down or I'd end up on the floor....he didn't believe me....until he had to pick me up!! Dentists made sure I didn't SEE the needles before they used them...and now, I'm excited!! THANK YOU MARGE/MIKE/GRACIE/TOBEY/GUS/TEDDI (YOU TOO SWEET BABY)!!!!
We also say THANK YOU again to Anne/Liz/Zener - such a wonderful birthday gift for KT!! His very favorite Fish & Shrimp that no one else likes so he doesn't have to share it!!! PLUS 2 bags of EVO dry to feed his hard food need!
Remember my 'Rainbow Gift' from Samson 3 weeks ago? That albino hosta? It's now got 5 leaves - the 5th one has a green wash over it but not ANYTHING like the others! As the sun is getting hotter, it's burning those white leaves but they served their purpose - I KNOW Samson's OK and sitting on my shoulder any time I want to 'hug' that pretty boy....I can smile when I walk by his place of honor.
NOW - MORE gifts! Some of you visited when I was so down and full of grief about all these things happening with my babies, losing Peanut/Samson, Scruffy/Lacey having CHF, Harley dx'd with Stage IIIa lymphoma...I was having trouble functioning thru my days just doing what I HAD to do. I kept asking "WHY??", I blamed myself for doing something that's causing them to develop all these diseases, it was an AWFUL AWFUL time for me. WAIT - DON'T QUIT READING YET!! During those days, I was given even MORE gifts trying to let me know it's OK.
* Many years ago, an elderly friend gave me a little pink flowering plant shortly before he crossed. Many people call it 'Thrush' but it's true name starts with an 'a'. I had huge beds of it for many years. Two years ago, it suddenly began dying - no idea why, I tried splitting it up so I wouldn't lose ALL of it but they all died. Last week while cleaning out one of my small flower beds, I picked up a big leaf - there underneath it is a single little sprout of Joe's Plant!!! Oh how it makes my heart sing!
* I absolutely love elephant ears - I remember sitting under my grandmother's plants hiding when I was a child. I have them planted several places but this year - yep, LAST WEEK, I find not one but TWO elephant ear babies coming up in places I've NEVER EVER put them! They are 'bulb' plants, not seed plants so birds didn't move them! The ONLY thing I can think of is that a mole or gopher replanted them...they ate 3 of my big ones....arghhh....
I feel so blessed today - I AM so blessed today! I hope you feel the same blessing when you stick your head in and visit today!!! BIG HUGE HUGS!!!!
