I'm glad Checkers is feeling good this morning despite the high +2. Turn around Checkers and come back down for your mombean.

He is still acting well, active, eating (no contraband available).. :?

I was out for a few hours. Left LC food, which he didn't eat. He probably slept . He had his bupe, so he isn't hurting. Sheesh!

Hey Barb--don't fret :cool: The 495 & 531 seem the same number to me (and they both could be lower--20% variance, right?) Have you checked him on a different meter (call me obnoxious, but I own 4 meters :lol: ) He'll be okay--better too high then too low. Just curious: does Checkers have physical "signs" when very high? With Gobby, I can usually tell when he's pushing 400 or better. Anyways, hang in there: yesterday Gobby was 248 at AMPS and then 392 @AM+9 but then only 246 at PMPS....

Hey Kat, I've got you beat .I have 5 meters. Relion and Presto. Each brand needs a backup, and one was free with strips. :-D

oh holy carp Checkers,.... what are you doing way up there??? No need to go look for Mannie, he's not there today, for once. I've got to talk to that kitty about lending out pages to his play book, especially the pages that glorify the alpha floor. :shock: :roll:

Try not to worry Barb - I know you are. I've been dealing with that alpha floor for several days now, and I know all too well how disheartening, and stressful, and worrisome, and emotionally draining it is. He's been headed up all day today, but as they say, what goes up must come down, and he will. He feels good, and that is all that matters.

Enjoy your evening. Checkers will be fine. He has just given you a permission slip to relax, and hit the hay on time.

Okay, I'm not so brave and strong anymore. Back to scared. I don't understand this.
He isn't acting the least bit like he doesn't feel well, and even if he was bouncing.....into black???


I want to go to bed, but I feel like Im abandoning him. Man, this is a helpless feeling. :sad:
 
Hugs to you. It will be what it is tonight.... run it's course, whatever it is, and he will come back down. and no - you are not abandoning him, and Checks knows it too. This is so true: it is a helpless feeling, know it all too well. Spend some time with your boy, a few scritches, pets, schmoozes, and then off to bed. it will be better in the morning, you'll see.
 
Thanks Michelle. I can't keep my eyes open. I'm worrying about leaving him, and he's in another room, rough-housing with Clancy. :roll:

(((barb)))) sure wish we had a good idea of what is making him bounce so high. I hope he will decide to flatten out a bit and come on back down.
