(just fyi, there may be technical difficulties with your video - i'm not sure - but carolyn/big mac is the OTJ video maker and Big Mac has been in the hospital for a week with 2 surgeries. not sure if you've seen his condos, but she has her hands full!)

i think you'll want to check every week or so for a while to make sure he's holding. at some point you can go to once a month or so. hopefully he'll just plod on like he has for the past 2 weeks!
he's now a diet-controlled diabetic - so keep him on the low carb canned food for life. if he gets any kind of illness, or if his teeth/gums get oogie, he could be thrown out of remission. with any luck that won't happen, but if it does, you know where to come for help!
steroids can trigger diabetes, so if you have any option at all, avoid them, including drops. sometimes people have to use it because of whatever the illness is being treated, but be forewarned.
and check in now and then to let us know how you and tiki are doing!!! :YMHUG:

I feel like a baby bird getting kicked outta the nest, I DONT WANNA GO!!! I'll hang out for a while, just might not have any daily condo's to report.
Afraid to stop poking his ears for fear he will stop letting me and when it becomes necessary again all he will do is fuss. But wow, I really could get into NOT having to buy those dang strips for a while, the costly little buggahs!
Should I take him to the vet's for a final sign off?
