ETA: I don't like the drop between +10.5 and +12. I stalled for 15 and she was going up, stalled for another 15 and she went up again, for a total of about 17 points in 30 minutes. I don't like it but I'll take it.
I fed she the regular FF Beef & Chicken mixed with some 5% FF Chunky Chicken. I'm going to do my best to get home for a mid-cycle and will have the husband keep an eye on what she's eating. I'm not sure what else I can do.

It's good that hubby will be home to keep an eye on her, I would definitely be running home for that mid cycle check and to be safe just ask hubby to give her a tsp of gravy if she pulls the I'm starving act.

Ruby looks like she has got with the program ;-)

I'm really glad I didn't shoot thru the bounce last night and went ahead with the reduction. I'm also really glad I took that +10.5 as soon as I got up! It was a bit of a deja vu when I saw she was dropping at +12. nailbite_smile

She's looking good today. Was playing a bit and scolding me for making her wait for breakfast.

I'm having trouble measuring the .25, even with half unit markings. The syringes in this batch have been pulling a lot of air bubbles into them. I'm wasting a lot of insulin because I'm having to draw a lot more in than needed, just get rid of the bubbles. I have some monoject ordered and they should arrive today. Hopefully I'll have better luck with those.

Hi guys .. I have to agree with Serryn, looks like ruby got with the program! :-D I hope your new syringes arrive today .. it's frustrating when you have to deal with bubbles .. I won't be here tomorrow so have a great weekend!

She looks like she's trying to accomplish something here. I wonder what she's up to. ;-)

It doesn't look like she ate much of what was left of her breakfast. I cracked open a fresh can and she's munching on a snack now.

I got the monoject syringes. These seem so much nicer than the Walgreens brand. The head of the plunger is so thin compared to the others. Its really easy to see where you've got it. Also, there is a more obvious space between the base of the needle and the first .5 unit marking. That will hopefully come in handy!

Taking into account the AT she was really green by +2 :mrgreen: and what about her greenie??? Ruby your mom is ripping you off a greenie and after you so kindly kept the main action for tonight when she'd be home to monitor you, really mom!!!

162 to 90 is pretty hefty drop for 3 hours though.

I switched to the monoject syringes tonight and now I'm convinced I somehow gave her the wrong dose. Yes, I'm prone to panic. ;-)

Ruby is doing really well!

Remember that lantus can get a second dip which is great. You don't need to stall on a second dip especially this high. You can tell a second dip from a dropping number because a second dip usually will not be lower than the nadir. A dropping number usually starts high and then slides down all day. The great thing about shooting a dropping number ...as long as it is not too low...is you can take great advantage of overlap.

You can give her a little low carb and see if she will get up on that surfboard :-D

She's pretty much been surfing along since +2 and is just now eating her normal bedtime snack. There is some food left for her to munch on if she gets hungry again.
She's been silly all evening, playing and amusing herself, us and Midgie. I'm going to head to bed and I know she'll come in soon, jump up on the bed and breath yummy beef & liver Fancy Feast breath in my face. Ah, kitty love!
