Jude's run of good numbers continues ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿฉต. He's had a little itchy spot on his head, so I'm guessing allergy of some type. He's had this before; in fact, we've used steroids for this before because he ended up with a hot spot from scratching so much. We'll not do steroids again, of course. I'm not sure what to do to get on top of this. I wonder if Zyrtec will help?

I hope everyone has a restful Sunday! Safe surfs!!

So happy to see his numbers in a favorable range ๐Ÿ€. Would something topical help, like maybe a baking soda paste made with chamomile tea to draw out whatever ick there is and soothe the skin?

Have a good day :bighug:

Good job Jude! ๐Ÿ’™
(Personally, I think Zyrtec always helps! I've chronic allergies to almost everything - except cats ๐Ÿ™ƒ - and antihistamine always helps me. Especially with itching)
Have a nice Sunday! :bighug:

It's possible that might help! I'm not sure if he'll leave it alone, but worth a try. It's right by his ear--just in front of it. I'm going to give him a good inspection in a little bit just to make sure a flea hasn't made it's way into the house. It's been really warm here lately, and I've no doubt the fleas are active, and even though all the kitties are strictly inside, fleas can live in the grass (we have feral cats that come to the yard) and make their way into the house. Thanks for the suggestion, Laurie! Hope you and yours are having a nice Easter weekend!

Hope Jude stops itching! Blair is a very itchy cat and sometimes gets hotspots. The vet gave me neo-predef powder that worked pretty well (altho she eventually licked it off). Googling that does contain a steroid, unfortunately.

As I'm thinking about it, here recently I've not been able to find the FF Classic Pate in beef flavor, which is a mainstay of Jude's diet. I've had to substitute FF Classic Pate in chicken/beef. I wonder if that is causing the itching because it's happened since we've been eating the been/chicken??? I don't understand why there is a shortage of the FF beef. Every now and then these shortages seem to happen with this food--don't know why--wish they would stop it

When people come to my apartment, they think i'm nuts. I have a huge stack of fancy feast crates in the corner of my living room. I just tell them it is a handy snack.
