Uncle is headed down out of those not-so-good numbers and actually hit green tonight, seems like a million years ago since he was in green, but I just checked and it was only 4 nights ago! I've been worried sick about him because of the surgery infection and lack of pooping. Also, he's been crying a lot through the night and I can never seem to console him so it's been stressful around here.
If he doesn't have a decent deposit in the LB tomorrow I'm thinking of taking him in -we will both hate that.
I broke out the Lactulose tonight. I hate to do it because I'm not sure if will raise his BGs. Guess we'll find out...

Glad that Uncle is seeing greens and coming down from the highlands!
But not glad that he is not doing his bizness for you! Poor dude. Prob just from the anesthesia at his dental. I bet he goes tonight, esp since you made the vet threat. Sending poopy vibrations to you, Uncle!!!:woot::woot::woot:

It's not supposed to effect the BG, but of course anything's possible with these sugarcats!

It's an indigestible sugar that's supposed to help pull water out of the intestinal tract and into the stool

OK now Uncle....you don't want to go see the vettybean, now do you?? Time to make a large deposit in the litter-bank!!!

I have read both that it does and that it doesn't, but I was not expecting the lactulose to raise Taffy's #s when I used it, but it sure seemed like it did. BUT, they could have just been going up from the constipation, so who knows. The stuff did the trick for him when he needed it and I would use it again if I thought he was in misery.
 
Yep, the threat has been issued and now I even have witnesses!
Good to know about the Lactulose. I had read conflicting things (of course).

Just fyi, for Taffy, the Lactulose took about 3 days to work if I recall correctly, but (sorry to be gross) it really worked out some dry hard weird stuff and Taffy seemed much relieved, and I was very happy for him :p

When is Uncle's next test? I am curious to see what he has planned.:nailbiting:

Oh, hmm, I hope it doesn't take 3 days because he will explode before then! I've already been giving him MiraLax again for the past couple of days, so maybe he's got a head-start.

I'm going to test him in an hour at +4 unless that's a bad idea...
 
Surf safely for your Mama, Uncle! Hope you get some sleep in, Barbara! I'm off to do just that for a bit (unless you need company, but I can't promise I'll stay conscious!)
