Oliver is doing OK; he has decided that he likes the cat grass but needs to rearrange it to his liking.



He's eating well, and wins first prize for LB deposits. While he's all relaxed and cleaning himself all the time, he's just not big on purring yet.
Hopefully, when he gets some better numbers, he will feel better.
I may as well go up his dose this pm; he is not getting anything under 300.

Another great report, except for his numbers but at least they are
coming down, a bit, and hopefully those strings of reds will be gone soon.
Oliver is one gorgeous kitty and his personality is just hilarious.
How could anyone have given up on him??
His life will be so much better with you. I am so glad he found you.

Oliver looks very pleased with himself! His coat is also looking softer/silkier. He just seems to be such a lovable character!

It does look like Oliver's numbers have come down a level but there's still a lot of room for improvement. It's been 4 cycles so you can increase whenever you're ready.

Pat,
No, Booboo hates almost everything, and I swear she sneers at the other two.
She drinks ONLY coldfresh water, preferably from a tap, and eats ONLY Fancy Feast dry food. The cat grass is not even worthy of a sideways glance. The first time for anything, she gives it a sniff to check it out, then promptly dismisses it.

And not to be left out, Shadoe poses as well, provided she has her security socks & cloth.

hang in there, gayle. i was hoping we'd see some sort of break in the numbers at 3u bid after seeing those 100s when he was previously on the dose, but it make take more insulin this time to cause a break through of any sorts since he's been running high. see how the day goes before planning an increase tonight. you never know, he may just surprise you!

Oliver likes being brushed, but he also likes to play with the brush after. Booboo watches him, again thinking Oliver is weird.

His first attempt at eating the grass - he pulled the plant right out of the pot, then walked away!

When Oliver first arrived, it took the full 6 cycles before he got some good numbers, so I was thinking of giving him the same 6 this time and see what happens. If we are still in the same zone, I`ll move him up in dose.

it wouldn't be a bad idea to give him the full 6 cycles on this dose. at least we'd know he wasn't going over dose. it's just so dang hard to see these high numbers day after day. i think i'd be tempted to use a little R, but talk to someone like jojo or carolyn about it.

I think it`s a good idea to use TOR for him on his high ps. I have on hand for Shadoe, but it has to be in the eve when I am around to test the first few hours. I have used a couple times for him when he was going over 500, so maybe I should consider more in the pm when his ps is red.
I need to get him down and have been lucky no ketones. I test when I can but keep forgetting to mark on the ss. At this point, there`s tons of urine, so no shortage for testing.
I've got my fingers crossed that we see some movement soon

I have looked and looked, squinted even, but I don't see bloos close by.
What I do see is yellow because Oliver has decided to copy Shadoe's 'surf flat' pattern. Both her +5 and +7 are the same, so I take that as a good sign.

Maybe mid week, we will know for sure what Oliver's plan is.

Oliver's numbers don't look to promising; he may just hit red before this shot kicks in. I don't think he's feeling all that great either; he hurled his dinner, but seems better afterwards. These numbers suck.

On an up note, he seems to really like that cat grass like maybe an outdoor cat liking to lie in the grass. Maybe I'll get a couple more pots of it and he can have his own little jungle. It's one of his favorite spots - curled up by the pot of cat grass.
Maybe I should buy him a patch of sod for the apt haha_smiley

I LOVE the sod idea in the house. You wouldn't need to mow it because Oliver would keep it short from his grazing or laying in it. :lol:

He certainly loves his grass!

These numbers are horrible. I don't even want to think of his numbers by morning.
He has not vomited in an hour, but he's got diarrhea again. No ketones this morning. This diarrhea comes and goes, not sure what to do for it.

Just wondering, what is done for diarrhea? It
